View Full Version : Can I pray every part of my salat aloud when alone?

Assalamualaykum,

Reading aloud helps me to take my time and concentrate better rather than rush through my salat while inadvertently thinking about something else.

I would only do so when at home and know that nobody else would be disturbed.

Is this permitted, though? Or would it be considered an innovation?

And I mean every part of the Salah including Tashahud etc.

Thanks

و عليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

You have the choice (when alone) of reciting softly or loudly at night. It is more rewarding to recite loudly, unless you might be disturbing someone.
