View Full Version : Do we really get whatever we want in Jannah? Confused...

Salam,

I read a Hadith about having whatever our souls desire in Jannah.

Don’t mean to question the teachings of Muhammad SAW I genuinely am just looking for clarification.

If we can have whatever we want, what if we want our friends and family to be with us in Jannah even if they haven’t been admitted to Jannah? This is probably the thing I want most - I can’t think of anything I could possibly want more. But surely Allah’s judgement cannot be overruled just because that’s what my soul desires?

Also, I’ve been praying my 12 Sunnahs a day because Allah promises an amazing house in Jannah for those who pray it. But if I’m in Jannah and my sole desires that same house couldn’t I get it even if I hadn’t prayed my Sunnah salat?

Again, don’t mean to sound like I’m questioning or looking for loopholes - I know there must be something I’ve misunderstood so I really just want clarification.

Thank you.

Walikumasalam.
You will get what you want. But you wont wish that thing which will be against allah's law

Even you hate the apostates of allah most even they are from your family. And you will love your muslim rival mostly because of muslim brotherhood.

As it is narrated that the heart is in between the two fingers of the most merciful.

Thats why nabi alihe salam won't wish for abu Talib to get entered in jannah whom prophet loved mostly in the world

Ah I see, so what we want now is not the same as what we’d want in Jannah because we’ll be pure and free from all worldly desires.

What about the house in paradise for praying all 12 Sunnah rakat everyday? If you can get that anyway just by wanting it what difference does it make to pray the Sunnah salat or not? Is there anything special about the house that’s promised?

There is no point thinking too much into this right now because what we desire right now may not necessarily be the case once we have entered into Jannah.

This is because every single person who makes it to Jannah will be completely purified before entering into one of its gates which means there will be not an atoms worth of any impurity or evil left within anyone's heart nor any sadness nor will they grieve nor question Allah's decision and judgement.

And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment, [while] flowing beneath them are rivers. And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has guided us to this; and we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us. Certainly the messengers of our Lord had come with the truth." And they will be called, "This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do."(7;43)

Also there will be many delights in Jannah that none can perceive of in this world:

No soul can imagine what delights are kept in store for them as a reward for what they used to do.” (as-Sajdah. 32:17).

Another verse tells us:

“And those who were mindful of their Lord will be driven to Paradise in crowds. When they reach it, its gates will open, and its custodians will say, "Peace be upon you; you have done well, so enter it to reside there eternally." (az-Zumar, 39:73)

For the like of this let the workers [on earth] work.(as-saffaat 37;61)

May Allah enable us to work hard so that we can be admitted to the highest ranks of Jannah. Ameen

ehm...first of all...Jannah is a complete different reality than this Earth...so...there is no way we can imagine how its like exactly...

for what I know Jannah has 7 layers...if I remember it correctly...people of all the layers are living together...they eat from the same tree and drink from the same river...however the one from the 7th layer will experience much more pleasure from the same fruit then someone from the first layer...but because you cannot experience what the other person feels...you will not get jealous or something...
so....you may live in the exact same palace as someone else...but if the rank of the other is higher than yours...he will get more pleasure out of it than you.
that is the difference I guess...

please correct me if Im wrong.

Good explanation to him. Only this part is wrong

7th layer will experience much more pleasure from the same fruit then someone from the first layer

Because no narrations i heard about it and we can't do notions but will be cliché or distorted one due to the existence of jannah based on narrations not on human mind

Thanking you

It may be wrong...I wasn't sure about it myself...thanks for pointing that out...however the point I was trying to make still stands:
Jannah is a complete different reality...so it is impossible for us to imagine how it really is...and no matter what...you can be sure that there is some construction that you can have whatever you desire...if you do more in this life...your life in Jannah will be much better...and there will be no envy or jalousy among people in Jannah...
so I just demonstrated some construction how that could be possible...again...the reality surely is different, much more sophisticated and just.
