Why is durood e tanjeeh not considered valid, or why is it not encouraged to recite durood e tanjeeh?

Instead of giving a direct answer, should I ask what is the source of this Durood? Is it based of any authentic hadith? I am sure then answer is no, otherwise, you would not be asking this question, right?
Is it based on some dream a person saw and then claimed that he has been taught such and such thing by Prophet (peace be upon him)? Most likely that is the case with innovators.
Just remember that our religion was completed 1400 years ago with the death of Prophet (peace be upon him). After that, our only source of knowledge is Quran and authentic hadiths. Anything else (including the knowledge coming through dreams) is rejected. And Allah alone, knows the best!
