I’m asking this on behalf of someone else. This person is in her 70s and has been going through some mysterious health conditions over the past 2 years or so. I say mysterious because no doctor visits or lab reports indicate any issues with her, despite having gone to the ER on multiple occasions while the condition was present only to be released hours later being told that they could see nothing wrong with her. The 2 main issues are a sudden jump in blood pressure (170-180), she gets dizzy, and her feet getting ice cold. When this happens, she has this weird feeling that moves from her feet and goes up. When she describes this, it almost reminds me of the description on how our souls are lifted out of our bodies.

this happens randomly and we have no idea what to do. We’ve taken her to many specialists and we are at the point that “it is what it is”. Sometimes it happens after salat, before she sleeps, during the day. It’s just random. Sometimes a month or two will go by without it happening.

Being that none of the doctors knows what’s going on, I wanted to reach out to the Islamic community to try and get some ideas.

Assalamu Alaikum

Cold feet is an indication of circulation issues, anemia, or hypothyroidism.
Blood pressure spikes could be an indication of issues w/ the adrenal glands, kidneys, or thyroid.
She might be having thyroid problems which would require very particular tests to check for different disorders.

I don't think there's much ER can do but it might help to see a endocrinologist or a specialist that deals with these particular issues.

If you cannot find explanation medically, try ruqya. I would suggest self ruqya, but if the person feels more comfortable with a raqi, then may Allah grant shifa that way as well.

Definitely see a cardiologist. She has symptoms that I have. This sister may have heart issues. May Allah give her shifa
