Jannah is a place that offers eternal bliss for those who enter it. I don’t believe anyone will truly be able to explain or understand the unseen, even with the descriptions we have. The scholars and speakers who do talk about the subject only have limited knowledge of it. Still, when it comes to the afterlife, we always try to use our understanding of this life to understand the next life which just does not work as they are two different realities.
Often times people will ask if they can wish for whatever they want, become whatever they want, or ask if some of the things that are haram in the dunya will become halal in the hereafter. We know that the things we are familiar with here, like foods and drinks, will not be the same.
There will be circulated among them a cup [of wine] from a flowing spring, White and delicious to the drinkers; No bad effect is there in it, nor from it will they be intoxicated. (Surah 37:45-47)
So even with the description of wine, which is forbidden for us here and is made halal in Jannah, is different than what we understand it to be. That’s not to say all haram things will become available and pleasurable in Jannah, but based on what we do know, there will be nothing that is harmful for us.
