As we see in the Life of Our Beloved Prophet (Pbuh), everything was well managed, negotiated and timely decisions made with various tribes, to maintain peace and make Islam powerful. Now-a-days everyone has become selfish (including me). The people of Palestine are bleeding and all we are doing is share posts on social media. People fear strong communities, not the divided ones.
Until the ummah looks at all cases of injustice done to Muslims worldwide equally, we will continue to be isolationists. Don't get me wrong, I'm of Palestinian descent with most of my family still living back home. I care about the situation there and I'm always in the loop of what's going on. Whenever there isn't a conflict going on there, it's just another day in life and there is no care. As a matter of fact, Arabs there treat each other just as bad as the Jews treat them, if not worse at times. Meanwhile, the rest of the ummah throughout the middle east, Asia, Africa, and elsewhere, Muslims are suffering badly with little coverage.
Thanks to social media, we're slowly taking the right steps of bringing awareness, but awareness and action are two different things. I honestly believe it would take an act of Allah for the entire ummah to reunite as one. According to hadith, it will certainly get worse before it gets better. Call it pessimism if you will, but it is the truth.
