Bill C-36 would allow a person to appear before a provincial court, with the Attorney General’s consent, if the person fears that another will commit an offence
“motivated by bias, prejudice or hate based on race, national or ethnic origin, language, colour, religion, sex, age, mental or physical disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other similar factor.”

Hate is defined in the bill as “the emotion that involves detestation or vilification and that is stronger than dislike or disdain,” but hatred is not incited solely because it “discredits, humiliates, hurts or offends.”
In addition, the bill would amend the Canadian Human Rights Act to make it a “discriminatory practice” to communicate hate speech through the internet where it is “likely to foment detestation or vilification of an individual or group of individuals on the basis of a prohibited ground of discrimination.”

In cases in which the hate speech specifically identifies a victim, the person responsible could be ordered to pay the victim up to $20,000.
A person who refuses to stop expressing hate speech could also be ordered to pay a fine of up to $50,000.

Bill C-36 includes accompanying changes to Canada's criminal code that will also update the definition of hatred, once again using the language of "detestation or vilification" proposed for the Canadian Human Rights Act.
It also proposes the creation of a new type of peace bond.
A person who fears they could be the target of a hate crime could apply for the bond as a way of deterring a person from committing a hate crime.
A breach of such a bond would carry a more significant penalty of up to four years in prison, consistent with the penalty for violations of other peace bonds.

Alhamdulillah it's time that online hate speech is regulated.
But I feel that although it begins due to increasing attacks on muslims in Canada, it can actually be used against muslims

While this sounds like it would benefit everyone, it most likely will only benefit zionists and their agenda to capitalize on the reinforcement of equating anti-zionism with antisemitism.
