*** The Seasons with Allaah عزوجل are two ***

Bismillaah:

Allaah عزوجل said in His glorious Book:

'' For the familiarity of the Quraish, their families with the journey by winter { ash shitaa ] and summer [ as sayf ].'' { Al Quraish 1-2 }

Imam Malik bin Anas رحمه الله commented:

'' Ash- Shitaa is half of the year and, as- Sayf is half of the year .''

{ Tafsir al Qurtubi }

Imam Abu Bakr ibn al Arabi رحمه الله commented:

'' Yet people say, ''The seasons are four: winter, spring, summer, and autumn. Still other says .'' It is winter, summer, mid- summer, and autumn, But what Malik said is correct, especially considering the fact that Allaah has divided the seasons into two, not three [ or more than that ].''
