Don’t transgress the limits imposed by Allah!

By Mohammad Rafique Etesame

Everything is limited, appointed and measured in the universe, except Allah-Almighty, Who is above every type of limits and is the Eternal. The holy Qur’an makes mention,” And everything with Him is measure”. (Surah Ar Rad :8).

As we see that every living creature’s age, capacity and sustenance is fixed. Similarly, every machinery has a limited working power and expiry date.

Limit means here two things, limit of anything’s body whether it is a living creature or an invented machinery etc. and limit of its safety and well-being.

Limit of body means a sketch, design or outline of it, because of this a particular thing may be invented and come into being. Because every invention is designed first and then be invented or created.

For example, sketch of a car, glass or a home etc.
And this particular thing will be
safe and sound as long as it remains within its limit. For example, suppose if there have any accident, or this particular thing is broken by another way, then the design or map of it is damaged and distorted, (please see the picture).

And limit of its safety and well-being means that, everything is made or created under a special purpose, and if this fulfills it, then this is safe and sound, and if it does not so, then this is in vain. And in other words we can say that this particular thing goes beyond its limit.

Now, I come to the point, human being is created for a special purpose i.e. for worship of Allah Al-Mighty as it has been mentioned in the Holy Quran.

So, worship is a limit of human being’s safety and well-being. And if he fulfills it, then he will be safe and sound and will be granted the best rewarded at the Day of Judgment as the Holy Quran reveals,

“These are the limits (imposed by) Allah. Whoso obeys Allah and His messenger, He will make him inter Gardens underneath which rivers flow, where such will dwell forever. That will be the great success.” (An-Nisa:13)

And if human being transgresses the limits imposed by Allah, then he will be punished at the Day of Resurrection. As the Holy Quran reveals,” The guilty will be known by their marks, and will be taken by the forelocks and the feat. Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? This is Hell which they go circling round between it and fierce, boiling water.” (The Beneficient: 45)

And in the Hell, the bodies of the guilty will be damaged and ill-made because they transgressed their limits imposed by Allah Almighty.

So, it is the need of time that the mankind should remain himself within his limits and obey the command of Allah so that he may get a good reward at the Day of Judgment.
