Bismillaah:

Allaah عزوجل said:

" The likeness of those who spend for Allaah’s sake is as the likeness of a grain of corn, it grows seven ears every single ear has a hundred grains, and Allaah multiplies
[ increases the reward of ] for whom He wills, and Allaah is sufficient for His creatures’ needs, All-Knower ."

{ Surah Al Baqarah verse 261}

Abu Hurairah رضي الله عنه said:

The Messenger of Allaah صلي الله عليه وسلم said;

" Wealth is not diminished by giving [ in charity]."

Takhreej:

{ Imam Muslim in his Saheeh and Daarimi in his Sunnan }

Ibn Abbas رصي الله عنه said:

The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم was the most generous of the people and he was even more generous during the month of Ramadan when Jibreel [ Gabriel ] visited him. Jibreel عليي سلم would meet with him every night of Ramadan until the end of the month and the Prophet would recite the Quran to Jibreel . When Jibreel met him, he would be more generous than a swift wind bringing rain.

Takhreej:

{ Imam al Bukhari #1803 and Muslim in their Saheehain }

Imam An Nawaawi رحمه الله commented:

“Our scholars said that being generous and performing favors are highly recommended during Ramadan, specifically during the last ten nights. By doing so, we emulate the example of the Prophet as well as our predecessors. This month is honored and good deeds performed in this month are more blessed than they are at any other time.”

{ Al Majmu Sharḥ al Muhadhab 6/424 }
