Bismillaah:

The month of great rewards has come to us in all its beauty and glory. It is an honoured guest and a blessed month and it will leave very swiftly. The winner is he who fills it with good deeds, struggles with his soul and purifies it. The loser on the other hand is he who fills it with corruption, negligence and avoids all goodness.

Abu Hurairah رضي اللّه عنه said:

The Prophet, صلي الله عليه وسلم ascended the pulpit and he said, “Ameen, ameen, ameen.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allaah, you ascended the pulpit and said ameen, ameen, ameen.” The Prophet said, “Verily, Gabriel came to me and he said: Whoever reaches the month of Ramadan and he is not forgiven, then he will enter the Hellfire and Allaah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen. Whoever sees his parents in their old age, one or both of them, and he does not honor them and he dies, then he will enter the Hellfire and Allaah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen. Whoever your name is mentioned in his presence and he does not send blessings upon you and he dies, then he will enter the Hellfire and Allaah will cast him far away, so say ameen. I said ameen.”

This is a supplication against the type of people who do not utilise the month of Ramadan as it should be utilised; it is a great season that simply passed them by, without their making an effort in it.
As for those who strives and struggle despite the odds seeking the promise of their Lord عزوجل supplicating for forgiveness and culmination all righteous deeds then...

The Prophet صلي الله عليه وسلم said:

" Whoever observes fasting during the month of Ramadan"

Another report:

" Whoever stands in prayers during the nights of Ramadan "

Another report:

"Whoever stands for prayer on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith, and hoping to attain Allaah's rewards, then all his past sins will be forgiven.”

Takhreej:

Performing any one of the three deeds mentioned in these narrations will result in the forgiveness of sins. Each one, performed individually, expiates previous sins. These three deeds are: fasting the month of Ramadan, praying the Taraweeh [voluntary night prayer] during its nights and praying during the Laylatul-Qadr.
The one who is negligent and careless in performing good deeds will lose out on a reward that is in proportion to his negligence.

In conclusion;

Shortcomings are inevitably found in our good deeds, therefore we seek the forgiveness of our Lord Allaah عزوجل for these shortcomings and to accept from us.

*** And Allaah عزوجل knows best ***
