I read somewhere that someone had a dream -saw a deceased individual who stated that everything he spoke about -politics etc was a waste of time as it didn't benefit him in the hereafter. He should have just spent time praying to Allah.
People are wasting their time talking about what is nonsense-it is important to know what is happening in the world today -but not to distract you from the hereafter. Everyone who as passed away like in Palestine -would only if they could advise everyone to look for the life of the hereafter (do not concern yourself with this person said this etc).
