What will be the punishment for running an online casino?

What if I spend all my wealth I earn with my online casino on building humble mosques with a rehab and homeless shelter?

Is this a genuine question?

Gambling is a sin
participating or in this case facititating gambling is also a sin.
I mean...think about it:

YOU are the reason for the many gambling addicts in your neighbourhood.
YOU are the reason that those people lose their money and keep coming back to your casino.
I do not know the punishment but I am pretty sure is much worse than gambling alone.

building mosques, rehab and homeless shelter with that money?
Honoustly, I would not go to mosque build by gambling money.

doing good deeds with money earned by gambling games does not justify the sin, even if you use all that money for good purposes.

Peace be with you PabloEscabor; you have an interesting user name,

My uncle won a lot of money at the casino on his first visit, gambling was an easy income. But winning is probably the worst thing that can happen to a gambler, it gives them a false sense of hope. My uncle then went on to loose all his money, a successful business, his house and his wife. He spent the last sixty years of his life trying to win it all back, but died in poverty.

If you are going to run a casino, you will want people like my uncle. Most people who gamble, can't afford to loose. They gamble because they need to win to pay their bills, gambling is a terrible addiction by people who are desperate for money. You often hear the adverts saying, gamble responsibly, and after the health warning you then loose your money. But the only gamblers that gamble responsibly are the casino owners, they fix the odds in their favour. Loosing shows a lack of responsibility, getting into debt gambling shows a massive lack of responsibility, it destroys lives.

What if I spend all my wealth I earn with my online casino on building humble mosques with a rehab and homeless shelter?
You would be willing to take wealth from others and call it yours?

If you want to build a mosque and help the homeless, then I would suggest finding another way. Gambling can make people homeless.

These are my own thoughts on gambling, I am not in a position to say Islamically what is right or wrong.

Peace be with you Ümit;

Just read your post after I had posted, we say the same thing in different ways. So far there are two 'No's' against gambling.

Thanks Brother Eric...

You are seriously convincing me to shut down the whole casino operation.

I have personal experience as well and practically all casinos are infiltrated by organized crime including online casinos for money laundering....

I will post update once I talk with my business partner on getting out of this filthy business.

I don't wish to make other homeless. Allah may make me homeless in return via someway. He has his ways...

Peace be with you PabloEscabor;

Your heart is in the right place. It can seem hard walking away from a good income, but I feel you will find a greater peace with yourself and with Allah, if you you do.

May Allah bless you on your journey,
Eric

Assalamu Alaikum

Gambling is not a minor sin, it is considered a major one. Anything you earn from it is also haram to use for yourself and it will not be of any benefit to you even if you were to give it away to charity. There is zero reward in it.

Even though it is true that you will not get a reward for spending the money in charity, you should spend whatever it is you have now in charity anyway.

How to dispose of haraam wealth after repenting - Islam Question & Answer (islamqa.info)

Ibn al-Qayyim (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: If someone else gives him a haraam payment and he accepts it, such as a prostitute, singer, wine seller, one who bears false witness and the like, then he repents and that payment is in his possession, then according to one group (of scholars) he must return it to its owner, because it belongs to him and he did not take it with the permission of the Lawgiver and the one who gave it did not get any permissible benefit in exchange for it. Another group said that his repentance means that he must give it in charity, and not give it to the one from whom he took it. This is the view favoured by Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah and it is the more correct of the two views. End quote from Madaarij al-Saalikeen (1/389)
If you have a genuine need for the money, the fatwah says that you can spend from the money you have already earned, only for what you need and the rest should be spent in charity, not used in any way. If you do that, Allah will accept your repentance inshaAllah.

I have spoken to my business partner and I am out of the business.

I am going to give the remaining money I have to multiple charities such as mosque and homeless shelter.

I feel much more peaceful for some odd reason.

out of nowhere I feel peace and calm like I never felt before.

Especially since I started reading the Quran every night and quit listening to music, I have since began to feel not only peace but a decision that I should stop this casino business.

Something just told me to look into stopping this once I started listening to Quran the whole night while sleeping.

I also started having good dreams upon listening to Quran while sleeping.

Thanks a lot for convincing me to stop this casino business.

The sales of my partnership was quick as it's an online casino.

I posted this five days ago, and whist I knew this to be true, I did not expect such a quick acknowledgement.

The ways of the world seem attractive, wealth seems attractive, but when we do things for our own benefit, our conscience suffers and we suffer. When we search to do the will of Allah, we find peace. You have chosen the greater path.

May Allah bless you on your journey through life.
