Wa alaykum assalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh sister,
Prayer is central to the life of a Muslim and is something which we cannot afford to miss. There are numerous ways to motivate yourself to pray, including reading about the virtues of praying as well as the consequences of not praying. There are so many Ayat and Ahadith regarding this and just reading through them will In-sha-Allah motivate you. For example, see
this link. Also, read about the meanings of what we say in the prayer as well as the inner dimensions of prayer, which will help you to focus and appreciate the prayers more. In addition, the way you think about prayer is also important. Don't see it as a burden or a chore. Instead, it is a precious opportunity to converse with Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala), gain closeness to Him and worship Him in a very unique and beautiful way. Just like we cannot do away with food and drink, we are in need of constant remembrance of Allah (subhanahu wa ta'ala). The Prophet (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) would ask Bilal (radhiyallahu anhu) to give the Iqamah, saying, 'Give us rest by it.' This highlights how prayer is a source of comfort and rest for the believers.
May Allah grant us the ability to establish the prayers correctly and keep us steadfast, Aameen.
