View Full Version : My mobile phone gave me headaches!

:sl:

A couple of years ago, I'd wake up with the worst headaches ever. One day I woke up without a headache and after some thinking, I realised that the previous night, I'd forgotten to put my mobile near my pillow.

I wondered if that had made the difference, but I wasn't convinced. I did the same the next night and the night after. No more headaches. I was surprised. I put this on health message board and a radiographer replied to my post. He said my headaches were most probably linked with my mobile being so close to my head and that a neurosurgeon in the same hospital as him had told him that many cases of brain tumours they dealt with, were caused directly by the use of mobile phones.

It's best to use a head-set and texting is also a safer option. Don't listen to mobile phone companies telling you mobile phones are safe. It's a cover up, as it could result in loss of revenue for them. As necessary as they have become for todays living, they are still a hazard to your health.

Recent studies confirm that cell and cordless phone microwave can:

Damage nerves in the scalp
Cause blood cells to leak hemoglobin
Cause memory loss and mental confusion
Cause headaches and induce extreme fatigue
Create joint pain, muscle spasms and tremors
Create burning sensation and rash on the skin
Alter the brain's electrical activity during sleep
Induce ringing ! in the ears, impair sense of smell
Precipitate cataracts, retina damage and eye cancer
Open the blood-brain barrier to viruses and toxins
Reduce the number and efficiency of white blood cells
Stimulate asthma by producing histamine in mast cells
Cause digestive problems and raise bad cholesterol levels
Stress the endocrine system, especially pancreas, thyroid, ovaries, testes

No need to bin your phones though. Just use with care. Switch off when not in use and text instead of talk.

but i don't understand, why would they be putting radio active stuff in phones, if they knew it was giving ppl headaches, the human rights would be on their case by now.

Phones work by radio waves, which is radiation. The same radiation is transmitted from microwave ovens, x-rays, ultra-violet light etc etc. It's not really an issue of human rights, as it's our choice to use them and no human right is being violated. In fact if people were stopped from using mobiles then ppl would say that their rights to use them are being violated.

People mainly keep it under their pillow because they get texts at night.. or get called. So shutting it off, will kinda make it hard to realise that you got incoming texts/calls (lol and dont ask why people will get em at nite :p) buh thats jus how it iz..

Its true though, u can get major headaches, and its really tough to sleep when the phone is right beside your head.

I wouldn't say 'safe' but 'safer' than having having the phone next to your head. Isn't bluetooth a relatively new technology? So I guess there's not much research done on it's effects on health yet. I'd say there is no such thing as being 100% safe.

Lol, that made me laugh! Seriously though some of us are just too lazy even to stretch our arm more than necessary, hence keeping it under the pillow :P
