It's hard but if i can help it then I do, but I think that trying to boycott everything, we will be left with nothing to buy, we will die with nothing.

I boycott. I have several friends that do as well. If we can do it with our husbands/kids etc, I don't see why anyone else can't. It is not that hard if you put a little effort into it. It does mean that you don't get that bag of Fritos or Kitkat, but you shouldn't be buying these products anyway.

GAP and others commit widescale (not just to Muslims) abuses. Nestle has denied the World Health Organizations code on formula marketing (1.5 million babies die every year because of unsafe bottle feeding). Throw in labour practises by the coffee companies... textiles. and we have massive issues here. It is high time people realise that every dollar they spend does make a difference. Mcdonalds and Starbucks both have felt a crunch over the boycott and many more would if people stopped making excuses and took to it.

I have personally seen coco-cola vending machines at a mosque and nestle products being sold at several centres. It is just disgusting.

coco cola should be banned for muslims to drink and all muslims should love ALLAH and the deen Islam
Islam is the way of life and that The only religion that will lead u to the straight path and to Paradise and you will be saved from the hell fire where no one wants to go so then us muslims have to do something and we will have to speak and unite our religion. as the companions did after the death of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w)

You are aware that in boycotting Israel, US and now danish products leaves us with minimal to eat. You know like leafs and possibly twigs. Until the muslims dominate the food market (and I dont mean by opening up restauarants and corner shops - I mean halaal jelly cola bottles etc) it might not be the best choice to go round boycotting everything.

However, if there is a Islamic alternative to the food products that we all consume then yeah boycott, I'll join in too, whilst eating my jellies.

Asalaamu Alaikum Wa RAhmatullahi wa Baraakatu,
Wallahi it is so sad to see that out Ummah can not even come together for the ake of Allah swt,......What is so hard about boycotting it isnt the end of this world....and yes sometimes we do overuse the time of the prophet saw but I mean seriously now....He did not have what we do tpday and he made it.....and we are no where near better than him......Our Ummah is so far apart...we can no longer agree to disagree.....when someone speaks on doing something as an ummah everyone turns their backs their faces and all....SubhanAllah what kind of ummah is this,.......U can not boycott?????????? for the sake of Allah ???????? for the sake of our RELIGION????? SubhanAllah, May Allah swt forgive us all for our selfishness Ameen.....Really come on.....Is this even an Ummah? We fear prison more than Allah.....May Allah swt guide us all Ameen

It is exactly this behaviour – self-centred and wanting instant gratification- that is deteriorating the Ummah. As Muslims we should be the most educated and disciplined. We should not be seeing ourselves as mere individuals, but as part of society with a specific obligation to social justice.

Kimberly-Clark the makers of Huggies, Kotex, Kleenax (and several other paper products) has received the highest honour from Israel for its investments and trade. Kimberly-Clark makes over 14$ billion dollars. How much of that is Muslim money?

Muslims are one of the largest consumer groups in the world. This world runs on money. Money is power. As a collective, we have the ability to alter companies’ decisions. If we go around buying these goods, we are only aiding in our own self destruction.

Yes, the majority of products on American shelves are Zionist, they are alternatives, namely: store brand items, imported items, and abstinence. We can all do with out Oreos, Coco-Cola, McDonalds, Danone Yogurt, Sara Lee, and other makers of processed foods. If humanity has been able to survive and thrive without such garbage (yes, it is garbage), then certainly the Muslims can as well. There is a wealth of food options available you just need to take moment and look. I have a variety of foods in my diet. I do not eat twigs, although I have been known to eat leaves (mainly spinach though).

Again, I reiterate it is precisely this self-centred, instant-gratification, individualist attitude that is destroying our ummah. There IS something greater than you and your own pleasure.

Good point sis ^
Here is my counter-argument: aprroximately 2 hours ago I went to asda to do my shopping. Asda, as most of you know is now owned by Walmart - a non-muslim company. (don't worry, i wont post my shopping list, that's not the point of this post) Now, according to some sources, the majority of what I bought (well, what my Mum bought :p) was probably made by a non-muslim company and as such most likely "passes" the income on to "our enemies". I don't know about you, but I need my cereal, Oh wait that's made by Kellogs - a kafir company! See what I'm getting at now?

So to answer the thread title: No, i'm not. Why should I ban a company because they are funding a particular country? As far as I am concerned, the non-muslims have every right to do what they want with their money, just as I have every right to do what I want with my money....or my mums money as the case may be :p.

EvocaCola, Cola, Coke and all others are all copies of the original CocaCola, now when people start buying these copies CocaCola will lose alot of money.

So perhaps we should all start drinking tons of cheap cola instead of the rubish expensive original.

I dont think that boycotting just Israeli products is enough. If muslims really want their action to succed, they should also start boycotting all products and technology invented and created by christians(they support zionists arent they?),chinese(they kill muslim Uighurs) and Hindus(Kashmir).

what load of BS......most of your technologies and sciences are thanks to Muslims who laid the foundations for you backward barbarians.

so plz dont try to act and take credit for everything you see around you, it doesnt have western "christian" exclusive fingerprints on them only.

without the maths and chemistry and medicine and astronamy etc you wouldnt "invent" or "create" anything.

Thomas Abercrombie was Muslim, he was the first to bring to the west all the pix of Mecca .. he died recently =(

I certainly enjoyed his work in National Geographic, and all the best pics of mecca that some of you sport in your avatar were taken by him

you can buy some of his prints at art.com

surprisingly 'Mesopotamia' 'Phoenicia' 'pharonic egypt' 'assyria' are the same folks who later became Muslim.. so you have a civilization within a civilization... this is what they were pre-islam, and during Islam even a more great rise..

what happened after mongol invasions and other wars henceforth as well as disassmbly of the caliphate, has happened to many other regions in the world and I suspect will continue to happen.. it is cyclical..

Best to look at geopolitical and socioeconomic conditions of the world to have a better understanding of the collapse of some empires..

cheers

Its offtopic but Eve Persephone, what is your thought on whether the empires(which used to be great in past) may reborn again...Some examples show that -yes (China, India) but some examples show that - no (Greece,Egypt,Spain).

It also depends on how specific you want to get. Simply put, the Caliphite state as it was (and as commanded in the Qur'an/Hadiths) is next to impossible in our day and age. Simply put, it would be ill equipped to handle the socio-political changes since its downfall. (Namely competition from capitalism)

I am not an oracle, I have no way of telling what circumstance will render what nations on top or others on the bottom.. there is however
'predictions' signs of the end that are telling, and actually unraveling as we speak, but given that religion/signs aren't in concert with your own personal beliefs, I don't see how it would be of benefit to list them here?

i think that long list would be businesses who do business/have branches in israel. it might be hard to avoid all of them.
"made in israel" is another matter and should be very easy to avoid - i don't think there really are all that many products around that are made in israel.

:sl:
Has anybody got proof that these companies support Israel, other than biased anti-Israel websites and the cursed Youtube videos? I understand why an Israeli-owned company would not be a good idea to buy from, but including every single western company is just dumb.

Fact: Coca-Cola recently closed its factories in Israel due to bad businesss. They still have factories in Palestine. Many extremist Jews think that Coca-Cola is actually an anti-Israeli company.

Assalam Alaikum

As far as Israelis boycott is concerned - no doubt it is to be boycotted . My hands up for that ,will be more cautious enough while buying goods . and inform my freinds , relatives also.

Why not simply donate more (a lot more) charity to Palestine? This boycott stuff can get a little silly sometimes if the target owns just about everything.
