Metro police, the FBI and the ATF are investigating a recent hate crime against a south Nashville Islamic center, after terrorists threw a container with flammable substance against a wall of the Al-Mahdi Islamic Center on 404 Wingrove Street yesterday.

No casualties have been reported but the building sustained minor damage, according to ATF officials.

The bomb thrown at the Islamic Center fell into one of the classrooms inside the building without exploding as it was made of plastic, but it started a fire in the room causing minor damages.

Fortunately nobody was inside the building at the time of the attack.

“We take these crimes very seriously and we’re going to do everything we can to help identify the suspect or suspects involved. Very fortunately, the structure was very mildly damaged and we certainly want to apprehend these people as soon as possible,” Metro Police Capt. Paul Trickey said.

Very close to the mosque, terrorists tried to set a bakery, restaurant and a food store, owned by three Iraqi brothers, ablaze.

One of the three brothers came as refugees back in 1994.

Hyader Moslin, who was working next door when he heard a noise, said he saw two men trying to break into the restaurant.

“I yelled at them. They came out and they ran away. I ran after him. They jumped the fence behind the building,” said Moslin.

“They tried to burn the place. They were pouring gasoline all over the place inside,” said Moslin.

Moslin gave the men’s description to the police who found the get-away car and arrested three terrorists.

This was the second terror attack targeting Muslims in South Nashville this week.

Also Thursday another terrorist threw a Molotov cocktail at the Islamic Center on Wingrove Street, also causing minor damage.

But Metro Police say they cannot connect the two cases.

For sure the western media wont call them terrorists. Maybe as ultra-nationalist.

Greetings and peace sonz and Iqram,

People of violence spread fear and hatred like wild fire and it escalates beyond all proportion, it is like the one match burning a whole forest.

People of peace must stand up and be united against all violence, we harm each other by doing nothing.

We need to work towards the calm of interfaith relations; the same God created each and every one of us and then gave us the freedom to choose our own belief.

In the spirit of seeking greater interfaith friendships
