Salam. Seeing that you sadid modern day heroes, i have no one in particular. Rather i have a collection of heroes ranging from those fighting fee-sabililah in the mountains between the east and the west to those teaching the deen of Allah. Others include those who feed the poor, look after the widows and the orphans and those that challenge the enemies of islam in whatever means they possess. May Allah make me one of those. Ameen.

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

He taught me not to swear or fight
He guided me towards the light
Never to cheat, never to steal
Worship Allah for He is real

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

His message was simple and clear
There is only one Lord whom we must fear
A prophet of Allah teaching mankind
To recognise God through his wonderful signs

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

Islam is what he came to teach
Religion of Allah is what he preached
Throughout all corners of the world
To the children of Adam, boy and girl

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

Confirming what was sent before
A vital message I could never ignore
When I hear His name I begin to cry
For the one who never used to lie

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

Oh everybody I ask from you
To follow Muhammad only if you knew
To accept that there is only one Lord
Besides Him there is no other God

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, Sallallahu ala Muhammad
Sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, Sallallahu ala Muhammad

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

It is time for all of you to know
Muhammad is my hero
Whether you say yes, no maybe so
Muhammad is my hero

Salam

He was poisoned by a hypocrite russian spy who had worked his way into the Mujhaideen forces.

100,000 Kafir soldiers coudnt touch commander Khattab , but one Munafiq did what the kuffar could not.

The Dalai Lama.

Despite unbelievable provocation, i.e the continued Chinese occupation of Tibet (which, BTW, is ignored by most governments for convenience even more than the Palestinian issue is) he still behaves and teaches accordingly to his beliefs, i.e total non-violence.

I have no time at all for those claim a religious motivation for political , or indeed any, violence. They are hypocrites and liars, and cannot be described as "heros" of any variety IMHO.

Yes he was handed a posionous letter. The traitor knew the commander recieved letters from his mother and he poisoned one of them.

He was hunted down by Shamil Basayevs group and killed.

Wow... everyone's inspirations seem to stem from their political/religious feelings. I guess I'm not like that at all!

My hero's Kate Atkinson because she's an ace writer with a tremendous wealth of talent. AND she's helped me out in writing my thesis on some of her works. :)

I'm also a big fan of my grandfather, may he rest in peace. Soviet general, based in Ukraine for most of his career, original from the Don and the cossacks of that region. very intelligent, kind, hardworking, fair-minded, loving human being. A day doesn't go by that I don't think of him and feel a terrible hole in my heart that has emerged there since he left.
