There are quite a few of them aren't there? not only Abu Lahab

In surah Qiyamah there's one in which Allah says : اولى لك فأولى ثم أولى لك فأولى أيحسب الإنسان أن يترك سدى

"Woe to you Disbeleiver, and then Woe to you! Again Woe to you and Woe to you!! Does a man think that he will be left Neglected? "

This Ayah was concerning Abu Jahl right. And there's one in Surah Yassin.........on the last page

و ضرب لنا مثلا و نسي خلقه قال من يحي العظام و هي رميم

I can't remember the name of the person whom Allah is talking about in this verse, but theres is a hadeeth about him and in that Hadeeth Rasululllah said to him "Allah will cause you to die, and then ressurrect you, and then send you to Hell Fire "
but I guess this Ayah doesn't count as an answer to your question bro Hafizmo right? since the condemnation comes in a hadeeth and not in the Verse itself :statisfie

Unless I am mistaken (Please excuse me if so and do correct me), wasn't adhan 1st called out when Adam (3alaihi salaam) was repenting and asking for forgiveness? I have to check this information.I think he asked du'a And then Adhan proclaiming the Greatness of Allah was called out.

He (3alaihi salaam)used to c the Name of Muhammad(Sallahu 3alaihi wa sallam) in the gardens of Paradise too.

At the time of Adam(As), I dont know if it was in the same order. But the same words were there, yeah? Allah knows best.

also to gather all the people for salaat at the same time, Prophet(saw) asked someone wid a deep voice to summon all.

I would be grateful if anyone could confirm the words heard by Adam(3alahi salaam) when he(3alahi salaam) was crying to Allah.

:'(

Now the angels realised that they had commited a major sin, so they lifted their hands up and said: Ya Allah Lift us back up, we dont want to live in this filthy place"

Allah said: "NO! ONCE A HUMAN COMMITS A SIN HE CAN NEVER COME BACK TO THE HEAVENS" (dont get confused, we sinners will get entered into jannah bcoz inshallah our sins will b forgiven!!!)

Angels said please Ya Allah PLEASE GIVE US ONE MORE CHANCE!!!!!!- they begged Allah and kept on crying and then Allah in reply gave them two options:

1) Either live a normal life on Earth and after they die they will enter Hell for eternity!!!(REMEMBER: these were angels so they have seen the fire of hell, and the wonderfull heavenz!!!)

2) Suffer a punishment till the day of judgement on Earth and then get lifted back up to the heavens.

Obviously the angels took option two as their punishement- WHO WOULDN't!!!------ they were given ceratin co-ordinates by Allah of the place where they still are present.... it was a well and the punishment was that they had to hang themselves upside down, IMAGINE THAT FROM THE TIME OF HADHRAT AADAM ALAYHISSALAM TILL THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT!!!!!! :'(

Once an old lady went to fetch a pill of water and the bucket hit one of the angels, and a voice came from the well: "OUCH" now the old women found out who they were and what they were although ppl at that time didnt know much about angels and then the conversation went on and on until the bit when the old women asked: "Tell me Something which humans dont know and Angels know"
THe angels took their time to reply and said that Black MAgic!!!

Dont know about anyone else but im terribly baffled by this. I havent heard it before.. thats for sure but it sounds so.. confusing. Were these two angels given free will... and a gender?

A source should be sufficient in extinguishing my doubts. InshaAllah.

This story has clearly been made up! Allah says in the qur'aan regarding angels " yakhaafuuna rabbahum min fawgihim wa yaf3aluuna ma yu'maruun"
and they fear their lord thats above them and they do as they are ordered" Angels are created only to obey Allah and worship him, we're different to them because we have free will. Allah also says in the qur'aan about the angels "wal malaaikatu yusabbihuuna bihamdihi" . In a hadeeth narrated by aisha radhiyallahu anhaa it says that the angels are created from nuur, light!
Allah knows best what they intend with this story?!

I also ever hear about this story?
Im not sure wether its the story if Israiliyah, or in bible.
But onething we must be carefull is this can be a lie. So bring the sources from Quran and sunnah, so it can be accepted.
Please someone tell me about the story of Harut wa marut in Quran. Arent they two angels, I forget the story :rollseyes

Whoa!! whoever invented such a story? No No No it obviously contradicts everything in the Qur'an and Sunnah Wallahul Musta3aan.

I recall another story which I read in al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah about another angel which turned into a Planet :rollseyes

So according to that story ( which is obviously an Israili Hadeeth) there was sent down to the earth an angel in the form of a very beautiful woman. Then the angel committed some sin (I can't recall the exact hadeeth ) But Allah made her turn into the Planet of Az-Zuharah which is Venus.....anyone heard of this also? :?

Brother Dhul the Story of Haarut and Maarut is in Surah Baqarah, Ayat Sulaimaan......when they brought down Magic to mankind as a trial and a test for them. Allah says in Surah al-Baqarah verse 102 :

. They followed what the evil ones gave out (falsely) against the power of Solomon: the sinners Were not Solomon, but the evil ones, teaching men Magic, and such things As came down at Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (Such things) without saying: "We are only for trial; so do not commit Kufr." They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But They could not harm anyone except by Allah.s permission. And They learned what harmed them, not what profited them. And They knew that the buyers of (magic) would have no share In the happiness of the Hereafter. and vile was the price for which They did sell their souls, if They but knew!

So this Ayat means that black magic was sent down on the hands of these angels then no?

I'd like to participate by asking a Q myself if I may?..

when faucets were first introduced in the ottoman empire, people thought it was blasphemy and refused to use them, until a fatwa was passed that they weren't Haram to use.. eventually faucets were named after one of the four mazahib, which Mazhab is it?

thank you

There are several Verses Speaking of this in the Quran, but I think this verse directly speaking of this.......

" Perhaps his Lord, if he divorced you [all], would substitute for him wives better than you - submitting [to Allah ], believing, devoutly obedient, repentant, worshipping, and traveling - [ones] previously married and virgins." 66-5

Yusuf | Joseph | Chapter 12

33 He said: "O my Lord! Prison is dearer to me than that to which they invite me.

Unless You turn away their plot from me, I will feel inclined towards them and be one (of those who commit sin and deserve blame or those who do deeds) of the ignorant."

34 So his Lord answered his invocation and turned away from him their plot. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

And when you said, "Musa, we will not put up with just one kind of food so ask your Lord to supply to us some of what the earth produces-its green vegetables, cucumbers, grains, lentils and onions," he said, "Do you want to replace what is better with what is inferior? Go back to Egypt, then you will have what you are asking for..." (Qur'an, 2: 61)

This was yet another clear sign of the great ingratitude of the children of Israel.

The four famous Angels are:
Angel JIBREEL
Angel MICHAEL
Angel IZRAEL
Angel ISRAFEL

Angel JIBREEL (Alayhis-Salaam) brought Allah's Books, Orders and messages to all the Prophets. He was also sent to help the Prophets at times and fight against their enemies.
Angel MICHAEL (A.S.) is in charge of food and rain. Other Angels work under him who are in charge of clouds, the seas, the rivers and the winds. He gets the order from Allah. He then orders the others under his command.
Angel IZRAEL (A.S.) takes away life with the order of Allah. He is in charge of death. Numerous Angels work under him. Some take away the lives of good persons whilst others looking very fearful take away the lives of sinners and disbelievers.
Angel ISRAFEL (A.S.) will blow the trumpet on the DAY OF JUDGMENT. The sound will destroy and kill everything that is on earth and in the skies. When he blows for the second time all will come to life with the order of Allah.

Wa Alikum Assalaam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakaatuh

5 times 4 with Muhammad and the last as Ahmad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and Allah knows.

"Muhammad (SAW) is no more than a Messenger, and indeed (many) Messengers have passed away before him. If he dies or is killed, will you then turn back on your heels (as disbelievers)? And he who turns back on his heels, not the least harm will he do to Allah, and Allah will give reward to those who are grateful. (144)

Surat Aal-Im'raan

"Muhammad (SAW) is not the father of any man among you, but he is the Messenger of Allah and the last (end) of the Prophets. And Allah is Ever AllAware of everything. (40)

Surat Al Ah'zaab

"But those who believe and do righteous good deeds, and believe in that which is sent down to Muhammad (SAW), for it is the truth from their Lord, He will expiate from them their sins, and will make good their state. (2)

Surat Muhammad

"Muhammad (SAW) is the Messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are severe against disbelievers, and merciful among themselves. You see them bowing and falling down prostrate (in prayer), seeking Bounty from Allah and (His) Good Pleasure. The mark of them (i.e. of their Faith) is on their faces (foreheads) from the traces of (their) prostration (during prayers). This is their description in the Taurat (Torah). But their description in the Injeel (Gospel) is like a (sown) seed which sends forth its shoot, then makes it strong, it then becomes thick, and it stands straight on its stem, delighting the sowers that He may enrage the disbelievers with them. Allah has promised those among them who believe (i.e. all those who follow Islamic Monotheism, the religion of Prophet Muhammad SAW till the Day of Resurrection) and do righteous good deeds, forgiveness and a mighty reward (i.e. Paradise). (29)

Surat Al Fat'h

"And (remember) when 'Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), said: "O Children of Israel! I am the Messenger of Allah unto you confirming the Taurat [(Torah) which came] before me, and giving glad tidings of a Messenger to come after me, whose name shall be Ahmad. But when he (Ahmad i.e. Muhammad SAW) came to them with clear proofs, they said: "This is plain magic." (6)"

We have certainly seen the turning of your face, [O Muhammad], toward the heaven, and We will surely turn you to a qiblah with which you will be pleased. So turn your face toward al-Masjid al-Haram. And wherever you [believers] are, turn your faces toward it [in prayer]. Indeed, those who have been given the Scripture well know that it is the truth from their Lord. And Allah is not unaware of what they do.

here in this ayah: Kaaba is named in Quran "Masjid ul Haram"...

Perfecto and Excelente señorita.

The Aaaya is: " ثُمَّ لْيَقْضُوا تَفَثَهُمْ وَلْيُوفُوا نُذُورَهُمْ وَلْيَطَّوَّفُوا بِالْبَيْتِ الْعَتِيقِ"

As I understood; every Mu'min is a Muslim but not every Muslim is a Mu'min.

Eemaan when it is used in conjunction with the word Islaam. In this case it is understood as referring to inward beliefs like: believing in Allah, His Angles (peace be upon them, His Books, Taqwah, trust in Allah....etc

But Islaam when it is used in conjunction with the word Eemaan (faith, belief), in which case it refers to outward deeds and words, such as: Salat, Zakaat, Istighfaar...etc

Prophet Ibrahim (A.S) was called the father of all prophets. He had two wives.

They were:
Sarah (A.S)
Hajar (A.S)

He had many sons and two of the sons:
Ismail (A.S) son of Hajar
Ishaaq (A.S) son of Sarah

(peace be upon all of them)

My answer is incomplete and someone else can complete it.

According to the majority of Qur'anic scholard and ahadith, what seven verses is being referred to?

Yes. it is Al Faatihah.

Next: in Surat Attawbah, verse 118; Allah says:

"And [He also forgave] the three who were left behind [and regretted their error] to the point that the earth closed in on them in spite of its vastness and their souls confined them and they were certain that there is no refuge from Allah except in Him. Then He turned to them so they could repent. Indeed, Allah is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful. (118)"

Q
:Who are the three mentioned in the Aaayaah?
