:p Salamz....

I'll finally reveal the answer.... The snake was a diciple of Hadhrat Musa Alayhissalam, how did it get their, well the answer is on this page, it was once when Hadhrat Musa was readin a passage from the Tawrah which had some praises about the Holy Prophet Muhammad Sallallahualayhiwasallam and his ummah, so this diciple requested Hadhrat Musa to make a dua that "Ya Allah Plz make this diciple of mine see this Last Prophet of yours" Hadhrat Musa Alayhiwassalam said that i doubt it if the dua will be accepted bcoz it s impossible, but he made this dua and Allah told Hadhrat Musa to tell his diciple that go to this cave and in that hole and hide inside that hole, but the diciple said that how can i do that the holes too small, but he was told that he would get turned into a snake!!!!!!!!!!!

Broda Mujahid got it right... well atlast sum1 did answer my question correctly....... It was Haarut and Maarut..... It was said that two angels went to Allah they told Allah that y do u want to create such a creation on Earth which will shed blood- don't we prostrate you and everything so y do u want to create sumtin which will do such a thing?

Allah then replied, "I know things which you not know"
This statement is also stated in the Quran sumwhere....
In other words it basically means BE Quite!!!!

After the murder of one of Hadhrat Aadam alayhissalam'z son, the same two angels went back to Allah and told Allah "How can they disobey you, you gave them food to eat, water to drink and everything?"""

Allah then said that if i were to put u down to Earth you will do the same thing.

These two angels- Haarut and Maarut were put down on Earth by Allah, they lived in a house away from everyone else, they used to pray 24/7.... until the day....

A fit woman came knocking in the house of where these two lived, one of the brothers opened the door and started talking to her, when the other angel found out abt this lady, even he started to assist him in this sin till the day that angel had an intercourse with this lady
:'(

Now the angels realised that they had commited a major sin, so they lifted their hands up and said: Ya Allah Lift us back up, we dont want to live in this filthy place"

Allah said: "NO! ONCE A HUMAN COMMITS A SIN HE CAN NEVER COME BACK TO THE HEAVENS" (dont get confused, we sinners will get entered into jannah bcoz inshallah our sins will b forgiven!!!)

Angels said please Ya Allah PLEASE GIVE US ONE MORE CHANCE!!!!!!- they begged Allah and kept on crying and then Allah in reply gave them two options:

1) Either live a normal life on Earth and after they die they will enter Hell for eternity!!!(REMEMBER: these were angels so they have seen the fire of hell, and the wonderfull heavenz!!!)

2) Suffer a punishment till the day of judgement on Earth and then get lifted back up to the heavens.

Obviously the angels took option two as their punishement- WHO WOULDN't!!!------ they were given ceratin co-ordinates by Allah of the place where they still are present.... it was a well and the punishment was that they had to hang themselves upside down, IMAGINE THAT FROM THE TIME OF HADHRAT AADAM ALAYHISSALAM TILL THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT!!!!!! :'(

Once an old lady went to fetch a pill of water and the bucket hit one of the angels, and a voice came from the well: "OUCH" now the old women found out who they were and what they were although ppl at that time didnt know much about angels and then the conversation went on and on until the bit when the old women asked: "Tell me Something which humans dont know and Angels know"
THe angels took their time to reply and said that Black MAgic!!!

THe old women then insisted that i want to learn black magic, the angels warned her that if u were to learn it u will lose ur imaan.. but she said that she wants to learn it. THe course Started and the old lady was taught by the angels and was told to bring things like hairs and this and that... until the very last completion of the hellish crse of Black Magic!!!!! THE VERY LAST DAY OF THE CRS ONCE THE OLD WOMEN COMPLETED IT IN THE SAME VERY MINUTE SHE SAW A WONDERFUL HANDSOME PRINCE FLYING ON DARK BLACK HORSE AND SHE GOT WORRIED AND ASKED THE ANGELS WOTS HAPPENING, SHE WAS THEN TOLD THAT THATS HER IMAAN WHICH JUST FLEW AWAY FROM HER!!!!!!!!!" -- ALLAH SAVE US ALL FROM THE BOUNDARIES OF KUFR AND FROM BECOMING A KAAFIR BCOZ IT IS STATED IN THE QUR'AN THAT ONCE A PERSON BECOMEZ A KAAFIR HE CAN NEVER BECOME A MUSLIM AGAIN!!! :'( :'( :'(

AFTER THIS BLACK MAGIC WAS LIKE PASSED DOWN TO THOUSANDS OF GENERATIONS, LIKE A CHAIN OF IT PASSED DOWN TO DIFFERENT PPL AND THIS IS HOW PPL KNOW IT IN TODAYZ WORLD. ALLAH SAVE US ALL AMEEN, BROTHER MUJAHID ITS UR TURN

MashaAllah Br Zak!! That's the correct answer....some info on the subject:

Following is the mention of Masjid-e-Zirar in the Quran: “And there are those who put up a mosque by way of mischief and infidelity, to disunite the Believers, and in preparation for one who warred against Allah and His Messenger aforetime. They will indeed swear that their intention is nothing but good; but Allah doth declare that they are certainly liars”. (9:107)

This mosque was built by Munafiqeen (hypocrites) as a meeting place with a view to conspire against Islam and Muslims. It was constructed opposite Masjid-e-Quba. Since sincere Muslims usually prayed in the Prophet’s (Pbuh) Mosque and since Masjid-e-Quba was in the outskirts of the then Madinah city where it was inconvenient for people to go for prayers, they had chosen the conspiracy site in the name of a mosque. All-knowing Allah informed the Prophet about this through the Quranic revelation. As it had been prohibited by Allah to pray in a structure called mosque that was founded for the purpose of de-stabilising Islam, the Prophet ordered that it should be demolished. Though another new mosque was never built there, the state and the people knew of the spot till very recently i.e. early eighties of the 20th century. The Turks, during their reign had built latrines at the site so that no devout Muslim could offer Salat there by mistake. “Never stand thou forth therein (for prayer)”, was the order of the Quran (9:108). The Arabic word ‘Abadaa’ indicated that the prohibition was for all times to come.

mashallah ...

Her name was Thuwaybah, servant of Muhammad(Sal-Allahu Alayhi-Wa-Salam) uncle Abu Lahab.

let me con't the story....

she nursed him for a while as she did his uncle Hamzah later on, making the two brothers-in-nursing. Although Thuwaybah nursed Muhammad (Sal-Allahu Alayhi-Wa-Salam) for only a few days, he kept for her great affection and respect as long as she lived. When she died in 7 A.H. Muhammad(Sal-Allahu Alayhi-Wa-Salam) remembered to inquire about her son who was also his brother-in-nursing, but found out that he had died before her.

Br Zak, you asked where Masjid an-Nabawai is mentioned in the Qur'an - I had to do some research hence the delay in replying:

Prophet’s (SAW) mosque is one of those mosques whose foundation was laid on piety. This is described in the Qur’an and Hadith. Allah Ta’ala states in al-Tawbah 108:

‘Verily, the mosque whose foundation was laid from the first day on piety is more worthy that you stand therein (to pray). In it are men who love to clean and to purify themselves. And Allah loves those who make themselves clean and pure.’

It is narrated by Abu Sa’eed al-Khudriy [Radhiallaahu anhu] that Prophet Muhammad [Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam] said, ‘The above verse is describing the Prophet’s mosque.’ (Muslim 15:1398)

Further explanation of the above verse and some other Hadith support the idea that both, the Prophet’s mosque and the Quba mosque, have their foundations laid on piety. The following scholars have discussed this topic in more detail: Hafiz ibn Hajar al-Asqalaani (Fath al-Baari vol.6 pg.245), Samhoudi (Wifa-ul-Wifa vol.2 pg.415) and ibn al-Jawzi (Zaad al-Maseer vol.3 pg.501)

Before the Battle of Badr, one companion pledged total support in the following words: "O Prophet of Allah, Sall-Allahu alayhi wa sallam, we are not like the followers of Moses who said ' You and your Lord can go and fight, we'll wait here.' We say go where ever your Lord is commanding you to. We swear by Allah who has sent you with the truth that we will fight on your right and on your left in your front and in your back and we will never desert you." Who said these words?

Taalib-e-Ilm, it is unfortunate that you did not heed my warning. i am under no obligation to provide you with the source for your fabricated story! it is your obligation to show the source of the story in an AUTHENTIC HADITH.

The scholars have refuted this disgusting narration centuries ago. And just because a Hanafi 'imaam' says something doesn't mean that it is true!

The sources for Islam are:
1. Qur'an
2. Sunnah

Your narration has no basis in the authentic hadith so it must be rejected. i am also annoyed that none of the admins corrected this grevious mistake. People should be required to cite their source, especially in an age where people are taking the most abominable ideas as representative of Islam.

1st day: 8th Zul Hijjah, Yaum-ut-Tarwiyah
After putting on their Ihraams for Hajj, the Hajjees proceed to MlNA after sunrise and perform 5 Salaahs there, i.e. Zohar, Asr, Maghrib, Esha and Fajr of the next day (9 Zil Hijjah).

2nd day: 9th Zul Hijjah, Yaum-ul-Arafah
After sunrise the Hajjees proceed to ARAFAAT and make WUQOOF after ZAWAAL. Zohar and Asr Salaah will be performed here. Here they remain engaged in Du'aa, Zikr, Tilaawat, etc. until sunset. Immediately after sunset they proceed to Muzdalifah. Here they will perform Maghrib and Esha at the time of Esha. The night will be spent at Muzdalifah.

3rd day: 10th Zul Hijjah, Yaum-un-Nahr
After performing Fajr Salaah at Muzdalifah, the Hajjees proceed to Mina before sunrise. On this day four important rites have to be performed.
1. RAMEE of Jamaratul Aqabah (stoning the big Shaytaan).
2. ZABH (to sacrifice an animal).
3. HALQ or Qasr (shaving or trimming the hair of the head).
4. To perform TAWAAFUZ ZIYAARAH.

4th day: 11th Zul Hijjah
All three SHAYTAANS have to be pelted on this day and the night will be spent at MINA. RAAMEE, i.e. pelting time begins after ZAWAAL and ends before SUNSET.

5th day: 11th Zul Hijjah
Make Ramee, i.e. pelt all three Shaytaans after Zawaal. The Hajjees may now proceed to MAKKAH MU'AZZAM. Those who wish to remain in Mina on the l3th Zul Hijjah should pelt the 3 Shaytaans before proceeding to Makkah Mukarramah. The pelting on this day is permissible throughout the day (including the period before Zawaal).

VOILA :-) SubhanAllahi Wa bi Hamdihi SubhanAlahil adheem

it was when Ibrahim (alyhi salam) was ordered by Allah, as brother Mujahid states.

And proclaim among men the Pilgrimage: they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel, coming from every remote path,

Ibrahim said how will they hear me?? Allah said proclaim it, and We will convey it to mankind. So the prophet (alyhi salam) stood upon a mountain and proclaimed it. And thus every individual that is ordained that he/she will do Hajj, replied "LabaikaAllah" meaning at your service o Allah.

I found this on the blessed companion, who was also known as Salim Mawla Abi Hudhayfah (radhiyAllahu 'anhu)

-----------------------

In giving advice to his companions, the noble Prophet, peace be on him, once said: "Learn the Quran from four persons: Abdullah ibn Masud, Salim Mawla Abi Hudhayfah, Ubayy ibn Kab and Muadh ibn Jabal."

We have read about three of these companions before. But who was this fourth companion in whom the Prophet had so much confidence that he considered him a hujjah or competent authority to teach the Quran and be a source of reference for it?

Salim was a slave and when he accepted Islam he was adopted as a son by a Muslim who was formerly a leading nobleman of the Quraysh. When the practice of adoption (in which the adopted person was called the son of his adopted father) was banned, Salim sim ply became a brother, a companion and a mawla (protected person) of the one who had adopted him, Abu Hudhayfah ibn Utbah. Through the blessings of Islam, Salim rose to a position of high esteem among the Muslims by virtue of his noble conduct and his piet y.

Both Salim and Abu Hudhayfah accepted Islam early. Abu Hudhayfah himself did so in the face of bitter opposition from his father, the notorious Utbah ibn Rabi'ah who was particularly virulent in his attacks against the Prophet, peace be upon him, and his companions.

When the verse of the Quran was revealed abolishing adoption, people like Zayd and Salim had to change their names. Zayd who was known as Zayd ibn Muhammad had to be called after his own natural father. Henceforth he was known as Zayd ibn Harithah. Sali m however did not know the name of his father. Indeed he did not know who his father was. However he remained under the protection of Abu Hudhayfah and so came to be known as Salim Mawla Abi Hudhayfah.

In abolishing the practice of adoption, Islam wanted to emphasize the bonds and responsibilities of natural kinship. However, no relationship was greater or stronger than the bond of Islam and the ties of faith which was the basis of brotherhood. The ea rly Muslims understood this very well. There was nobody dearer to anyone of them after Allah and His Messenger than their brethren in faith.

We have seen how the Ansar of Madinah welcomed and accepted the Muhajirin from Makkah and shared with them their homes and their wealth and their hearts. This same spirit of brotherhood we see in the relationship between the Quraysh aristocrat, Abu Hudhay fah, and the despised and lowly slave, Salim. They remained to the very end of their lives something more than brothers; they died together, one body beside the other one soul with the other. Such was the unique greatness of Islam. Ethnic background and s ocial standing had no worth in the sight of God. Only faith and taqwa mattered as the verses of the Quran and the sayings of the Prophet emphasized over and over again:

"The most honorable of you in the sight of God, is the most God-fearing of you," says the Quran.

"No Arab has an advantage over a non-Arab except in taqwa (piety)," taught the noble Prophet who also said: "The son of a white woman has no advantage over the son of a black woman except in taqwa."

In the new and just society rounded by Islam, Abu Hudhayfah found honor for himself in protecting the one who was a slave.

In this new and rightly-guided society rounded by Islam, which destroyed unjust class divisions and false social distinctions Salim found himself, through his honesty, his faith and his willingness to sacrifice, in the front line of the believers. He was the "imam" of the Muhajirin from Makkah to Madinah, leading them in Salat in the masjid at Quba which was built by the blessed hands of the Prophet himself. He became a competent authority in the Book of God so much so that the Prophet recommended that t he Muslims learn the Quran from him. Salim was even further blessed and enjoyed a high estimation in the eyes of the Prophet, peace be on him, who said of him.

"Praise be to God Who has made among my Ummah such as you."

Even his fellow Muslim brothers used to call him "Salim min as-Salihin - Salim one of the righteous". The story of Salim is like the story of Bilal and that of tens of other slaves and poor persons whom Islam raised from slavery and degradation and 'made them, in the society of guidance and justice - imams, leaders and military commanders.

Salim's personality was shaped by Islamic virtues. One of these was his outspokenness when he felt it was his duty to speak out especially when a wrong was committed.

A well-known incident to illustrate this occurred after the liberation of Makkah. The Prophet sent some of his companions to the villages and tribes around the city. He specified that they were being sent as du'at to invite people to Islam and not as figh ters. Khalid ibn al-Walid was one of those sent out. During the mission however, to settle an old score from the days of Jahiliyyah, he fought with and killed a man even though the man testified that he was now a Muslim.

Accompanying Khalid on this mission was Salim and others. As soon as Salim saw what Khalid had done he went up to him and reprimanded him listing the mistakes he had committed. Khalid, the great leader and military commander both during the days of Jahil iyyah and now in Islam, was silent for once.

Khalid then tried to defend himself with increasing fervor. But Salim stood his ground and stuck to his view that Khalid had committed a grave error. Salim did not look upon Khalid then as an abject slave would look upon a powerful Makkan nobleman. Not a t all. Islam had placed them on an equal footing. It was justice and truth that had to be defended. He did not look upon him as a leader whose mistakes were to be covered up or justified but rather as an equal partner in carrying out a responsibility and an obligation. Neither did he come out in opposition to Khalid out of prejudice or passion but out of sincere advice and mutual self-criticism which Islam has hallowed. Such mutual sincerity was repeatedly emphasized by the Prophet himself when he said:< P> "Ad-dinu an-Nasihah. Ad-din u an-Nasihah. Ad-din u an-Nasihah." "Religion is sincere advice. Religion is sincere advice. Religion is sincere advice."

When the Prophet heard what Khalid had done, he was deeply grieved and made long and fervent supplication to his Lord. "O Lord," he said, "I am innocent before you of what Khalid has done." And he asked: "Did anyone reprimand him?"

The Prophet's anger subsided somewhat when he was told:

"Yes, Salim reprimanded him and opposed him." Salim lived close to the Prophet and the believers. He was never slow or reluctant in his worship nor did he miss any campaign. In particular, the strong brotherly relationship which existed between him and Ab u Hudhayfah grew with the passing days.

The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, passed away to his Lord. Abu Bakr assumed responsibility for the affairs of Muslims and immediately had to face the conspiracies of the apostates which resulted in the terrible battle of Yamamah. Among t he Muslim forces which made their way to the central heartlands of Arabia was Salim and his "brother", Abu Hudhayfah.

At the beginning of the battle, the Muslim forces suffered major reverses. The Muslims fought as individuals and so the strength that comes from solidarity was initially absent. But Khalid ibn al-Walid regrouped the Muslim forces anew and managed to achie ve an amazing coordination.

Abu Hudhayfah and Salim embraced each other and made a vow to seek martyrdom in the path of the religion of Truth and thus attain felicity in the hereafter. Yamamah was their tryst with destiny. To spur on the Muslims Abu Hudhayfah shouted: "Yaa ahl al-Qu ran - O people of the Quran! Adorn the Quran with your deeds," as his sword flashed through the army of Musaylamah the imposter like a whirlwind. Salim in his turn shouted:

"What a wretched bearer of the Quran am I, if the Muslims are attacked from my direction. Far be it from you, O Salim! Instead, be you a worthy bearer of the

With renewed courage he plunged into the battle. When the standard-bearer of the Muhajirin, Zayd ibn al-Khattab, fell. Salim bore aloft the flag and continued fighting. His right hand was then severed and he held the standard aloft with his left hand whi le reciting aloud the verse of the glorious Quran:

"How many a Prophet fought in God's way and with him (fought) large bands of godly men! But they never lost heart if they met with disaster in God's way, nor did they weaken (in will) nor give in. And God loves those who are firm and steadfast." What an i nspiring verse for such an occasion! And what a fitting epitaph for someone who had dedicated his life for the sake of Islam!

A wave of apostates then overwhelmed Salim and he fell. Some life remained with him until the battle came to an end with the death of Musaylamah. When the Muslims went about searching for their victims and their martyrs, they found Salim in the last thro es of death. As his life-blood ebbed away he asked them: "What has happened to Abu Hudhayfah?" "He has been martyred," came the reply. "Then put me to lie next to him," said Salim.

"He is close to you, Salim. He was martyred in this same place." Salim smiled a last faint smile and spoke no more. Both men had realized what they had hoped for. Together they entered Islam. Together they lived. And together they were martyred.

Salim, that great believer passed away to his Lord. Of him, the great Umar ibn al-Khattab spoke as he lay dying: "If Salim were alive, I would have appointed him my successor."

why was this helmet so important to khalid bin waleed (ra)?

Was it because there was some strands of the Prophet's hair inside the helmet which as i read before that Khalid bin Al Waleed said it gave him a better view of the battle ground.
its just some thing i thought i read ages ago, i dont know if its right. :-[

if it is then the next question.......

yes it was the hair of the prophet, he gathered them when the prophet shaved his head for hajj. the prophet asked him why he was collecting it to which he said it might help him. the prophet then made dua saying that it would make him victorious on the battlefield........ he then had the hair woven onto a red garment which he wore under his helmet.

what is the main difference between the sunni and the shia? :)
one of the main diff is that shias believe that Ali (ra) was the proposed prophet after Muhammed (saw), but people did not make him the prophet. Whereas sunnis believe that Muhammed (saw)was the last prophet.
another one is that shias believe that Qur;an consists of 40 parts, and the last 10 parts were revealed to Ali (ra). and sunis dont beliv it.
