oh there are soooooooooooo many and I can't think of any at this moment. I have read Darbar -e- Dil and la Hasil by Umaira Ahmed, they are both amazing and very well written. I have always loved La Zawal by Bushra Rehman, and Khuda Ki basti by Shawkat Siddiqi.

There are many others in my list but hard to put them all together. Maybe we should have a book review session over here. I would love to participate.

jaisa ki mein ne pehle kaha, "Peer-e-Kamil" the title suggests that it is life story of Prophet Muhammad pbuh but I think the first she has named our prophet pbuh in her book is on page 150 or something... I am yet to understand which category this book shld fit in... :heated:

And I am surprised that people here like books of Nasir Hijazi and Inayat Altamash... the kinda of fiction they write is pathetic... I am actually short of hard words else I would hav used them all on both of these writers... they may hav best intentions by recording the history they were, but it is not the ideal way... if u wanna read history, read books like History of Islam, etc which cover A to Z history of Islam in the best possible way... :)

abb yeh kuch itnah mushkil bhi nahi kay bataiye nah ja hain........

yeah including all the love affairs and crap is ok while teaching the youht history... :heated:

and much of the incidents that are told in such novels are made up too... other thing is, author adds his opinion init as well which is not the part of history telling... if the author adds his opinion in the beginning or in the end or as a footnote, that's ok but including ur opinion in the book is not good I think... :)

Im from Bangladesh. Here in Bangladesh, most of Naseem Hijazi's books already translated by bangla, even same books translated by different publishers!

Also 50% of Inayatullah's books already translated. Im also going to publish his rest books. Want to start with 'Sitara jo Toot gaya'. But I can not find it in http://www.jbdpress.com/aspx/authorD...spx?authId=178

Anyone have this 'Sitara jo Toot gaya' book? I've plan to buy a bulk number of urdu books later but now I need 'Sitara jo Toot gaya'.

And also anyone know any more writer like Naseem Hijazi and Inayatullah writing novel based on Islamic History?

If you have 23 books of Ibn-e-Safi in your computer (in Urdu composing form) why not you share them with others. Just place these books on kitaabghar and makes Ibn-e-Safi's fans more happy by reading them. By the way do you have "Shytan Sahib" it's collection of comic essays written by Ibn-e-Safi.
In few days it will be available on kitaabghar.

Asalaamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatu,

This isn't a novel ~ it's a magazine: Taleem-o-Tarbeeat. :D

I also like Fazail-e-Amaal in Urdu even though it took me ages to read. :embarrass

Let me correct you, ISHQ KA SHEEN is not writtten by Aleem-ul-Haq Haqi. Its written by Amjad Javeed. Unfortunatly Haqi could not complete this novel by himself. M.A Rahat is good but not very impressive. After reading Ishq ka Sheen, please try ISHQ KA QAAf written by Surfraz Ahmad Rahi. I hope you will like it. You can got its online version on www.kitaabghar.com.

Ishq ka sheen is in two parts. First one by haqi and 2nd one by amjad. Is haqi dead by the way? You dont like M A Rahat? Try reading his Namwar series. Pure class.

I read Qaaf too. What a brilliant novel. Just excellent but still Ishq Ka Sheen is the best one out there. I think Haqi put all his blood effort in it. A good read for all

OH God! all these years I have loved urdu so much.

This thread just made me realise that the only last thing I read were those detective novels..by someone whose name began with M...(was it mushtaq??). Those novels were smthing similar to hardy boys.

Ishq ka sheen is about a boy born in a hindu family. As he grows up he notices his family worshipping the idols. He doesnt get satisfied in it. He searches for the truth. He ponders over Allah's beauty and nature and thinks there is someone that controls everything and He is one. So he moves to delhi for further studies and rents an upper appartment. There he hears a beautiful female voice reciting Quran. At that time he didnt know it was Quran.
The novel is set in 1930 going towards 40s for the pakistan partition. So he learns the whole Quran. Then something happens and he hears her recite Surah Mulk and mountains crash on him and he sees the skies. The truth is revealed on him and this is the best part of the book. He accepts islam then in the second book(written by someone else as the original author got very unwell. Dont know if he died) the author explains the partition of pakistan and this boy migrated to pakistan and there they build a new village.
This novel i think covers every topic of Islam. Let it be relation of mum and daughter, father and son, teacher and student, telling lies, backbiting, parda, and everything. The first novel is around 800 pages and the second is 400. Worth reading. 5 star. Brilliant novel

Ahmed Yaar Khan, ki takreeban tamaam 'Jurm aur suraaghsani ki sachi kahaniyan' parh chuki hoon. Partition ke pehle se Hindustan ki kuch history, kaale amal, jhoote peer, aur musaalmanon mein hinduana rasmon ka kaise bharhao hua, ye sab inhi novelon se hi seekha.

Kuch tareekhi kitabon ka yahan ziker kiya geya hai, inshaAllah kabhi woh bhi parhungi.

Hey friends, I dunno if you'll consider it as a novel or not coz it's basically an autobiography but I feel it's not much different from a novel.
