About 7 months ago I quit consuming products with nutrasweet, and other artificial sweeteners. I now eat real sugars! I've lost 20 pounds without effort.

There are loads of ways to lose your weight, you have to remember that losing weight is not tough as keeping it lost. Most of the time do pretty well to lose the weight but with time they gain it all back. My advie dont take drastic measures to lose it, keeping away from junk food and eating your greens helps alot.

well i never been overweight in my entire life, but I eat chocolates, cakes, and all the things which can make me fat. I work out every day. I run 2 miles everymorning.

I don't really have problems wid weight thing.
I got it under control yo.

Just watch what you eat, dont stuff yoruself, and do some walking. Oh and belly crunches are nice too. :happy:

goin on the atkins diet?..not a wise idea..i've recently learned that jus consumin meat forces your body to use up fat as the main energy source (which sounds appealin when u want to lose weight)..BUT..this then can lead to ketosis..which is basically toxic for the body..and leads to ur breath smelling like nail varnish...
so...a good way to lose weight..is to eat healthily..pray five daily salaat..if possible pray tahajjud salaat and otehr voluntary salaats like ishraq..and do exercise..and then insha'allah..weight is lost..:)

well yea u should go for sum kinda Jym and dn't eat that much jus see wot you eat.....

''try not to look at people and say, ''wow they r eatin and i should and that's delicious!'' nonono!!! that is totally wrong u should eat abit ov fat and abit ov healthy food too cuz some people think ''DIET'' is jus eatin veg, fruit,and drink water that's it, but NO that is NOT ryt! u should eat 5 fruits in a day :) da least is 3 and also do excersise regulary and trus mi swimming is good... :)

Actually if you follow it in the right way it is likely you wont face any problems. Personally I think workign out is enough for me. I just dont like not being able to eat some sort of food so Im off diets anyway. I eat what I want but I exercise...That works for me. I just hate being restricted to certain types of food. If I see somethign I like, I WILL EAT IT!! :)

same..i love my food..:statisfie ..no matter wat the situation i'll alwayz have room for food..tho i dont seem to gain weight...:rollseyes ..all the same itz advisable not to follow the atkins diet...:)

in ma gcse pe calss, they taught us dat u shud try not to stop eatin food wen ur on a diet...cuz sum ppl do...cuz den ur body looses all the fat n the stretched skin sort of drools. they suggest dat the best way to loose waight is to control ur amount of fat and calories intake and exercise...but do not overload.

The stretched skin is usually when you lose a lot of weight in a short period of time.
I just think that it is best not to eat about 3 or 4 hours before sleeping and to exercise either everyday or ever other day.

Im trying to watch what i eat...make sure its not too greasy and not too much fat content. In substitution for potatoe chips and cheetos...I snack on an apple or another other fruit or vegetable.

Atkin's is awesome! Shame there's too much bad press about it because ppl dont understand the diet. You actually have to eat 20grams of salad a day with the protein. Then later you can start adding wholesome carbs. I did it and felt fantastic and no my breath didnt smell like nail polish remover either lol.

why are you starving yourself sis? That's really bad for you and eventually your health will really suffer. Are you playing sports to lose even more weight or something? It can't be doing you good if your not eating healthily. You should look after yourself as health is a blessing that many ppl sufffering with illness wish they had.

OMG that is just how my friend is. She eats so much junk food but she's still very skinny. She's weighed the same ever since 9th grade. I think that is soo not fair becuase she can eat all the junk food she wants but never gains an ounce.

Well my advice would be to follow what your doctor said. Honestly 8 stones even sounds a too low. Never forget that you may feel healthy, but that does not mean that you are. I am not assuming anything but it is always better to be safe than sorry.
I myself am a little over 16 stones and 6'1 so I think I need to lose weight myself :heated:

I'm 5'7" and I weight 148 lbs and thats around 10 stone , However I sure wouldn't mind losing more weight :D
The best thing to do is just eat everyyyyyything you want, yep thats right, everything, but just small small portions.
Instead of eating 3 big meals a day, eat more smaller ones, that way your stomach gets used to small portions of food. Also no in between meal snacks except for the fruits veggies etc etc.
And it works.........for most people that is......I guess I"m excluded because I haven't seen results yet :(

yea well at the end of the day i'm ryt well doc says i need ta put weight on bt i D'NT WANA cuz at the moment as am pregnant obviously am gna be over weight bt reali me weight is 5 stones i think am ryt tho:rant:

Ok then. But always keep your baby in mind. Seek advise from either mothers or even back to your doc to know what is best to eat when pregnant and what is best for your baby. Inshallah he will turn out healthy like you ;)

Ya 230 pounds is quite a lot but it isnt that bad. I mean I dont look fat and I dont eat a lot of unhealthy food. But I do eat a lot :rollseyes :happy:
But anyway I need to get it down to like 14 or 15 stones and that will be fine by me.

follow the sunnah!!!!

lol fill one third of ur stomach wiv food, one third wiv water, and leave one third for air, so that u may think.

excersize will be ur daily routine (i hope ur not too lazy :p) lol and of course inshaAllah in due time u will lose weight :)
