i go to regent college which is a mixed race and gender college.
i used to go to lancaster bois (boys) school which as the name suggest was an all bois/boys school hehe. but the fact that an all girls school was right next door to us kinda defeated the point.

There were two 'extremists' and your average group
a) the violent ghora - racist buggers who beat up evry 1 who wasnt white and called u a paki just cus u were a muslim
b) the violent muslims - as equally racist as type A except they usually beat Type A's up. [A slang term was invented for Type A and it is commonly known as: chavs
(visit: www.chavscum.com for further information about these 'people' - i gaurantee you will laugh..well i did)]
c) the average guys - not too crazy and not to stoopid (i spell stupid like stoopid for comic effect - if you dont laugh then fine dont but if you do then please make a donation in the box below -note: that was sarcasm) i fit into this category as did most pple
what bout your school?

the only hard bit in getting into cambridge is getting a triple A, at a2, i've spoken to the actual lecturers, the way cambridge admits people is very very unique. They take into account, the individual, when cambridge asks for people,

and i quote :

dont want students who lock themselves in a room and study study who have excellent grades but no social life.

end quote

If you got personality and grades, you're in, the only hard bit is AAA at a2, which isnt too hard if you apply yourself from the beginning, GCSE is a total nightmare, doing all these subjects which you dont have choice over dropping (for me its maths)

A college prep highschool, with too much freedom, ie, leacve school when u want come back, do whatever you want. really too much freedom. but its a good school looking at it educationally wise.
Has at most 10 Muslims in the whole School.

did anyone know that Sheikh Qasim was invited to the Haram on ramadhan 2002? Sheikh Sudais phones him reguarly and asked him to come to the Haram for taraweeh in ramadhan 2002 just to pray in the first row with all those imams who pray on the first row. he said ok i will come. then when the day came he dressed up in white daffa thobe, a brown nice real arabian bisht and a red scarf. i tell you what he looked similar to Shuraim in physical size. and then apparently when he wen to Heathrow they didn't allow him to go because of security reasons. becasue they thought he might be a terroist becasue of his dress and long beard. this was in 2002 a year after 9/11. he was angry and then told Sheikh Sudais he can't make it to Saudi. then Sheikh Qasim came back and led the last day of taraweeh in our masjid

I live in Florida, United States, You say that there's not many faithful muslims in your area..woah! wait till you come to U.S then you will see the big difference. The biggest muslim community in U.S is dearfeild, Michigan. The muslim community I live is big enough to fit a house. Not even a superdome. I've been to England before the minute they open their mouths I thought it was a different language. The english really varies between our countries. So if you told me to point out Hertfordshire on the map, I'd most likely point it out on an island somewhere...LOOOOL

There's no such thing as a 'British' accent sis. Britain consists of England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Each of these have very distinctive accents.

No one talks like that except maybe the Queen. When she's had too much of a certain substance at the Wine and Cheese evenings. Clue - it ain't the cheddar.

It will be so wicked! :D
Nah, Americans sound weird when they do those clipped English Butler accents. But then, Brits sound weird when they try to imitate Bush's Texan drawl.

And we're way off topic, so let's just stop. :)

Salamoualeykoum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,

I go to a university, near Paris. Al hamdoulilah the situation in my class is not to bad for a muslim girl, in university it's more easy (for ex for the hijab)...

... because it's very difficult in France for the muslim girls, particularly in "collège" (between 12 and 16 years) and "lycées" (between 16 et 18 years) where they are obliged to remove their hijab because of the new french law !!!!

So some sisters (more of 40 I think) have been excluded from school !!!!

And we are trying in France to organize , in order to create our private schools inchaAllah, but it's difficult... we need of your "dou'a" to help us.

Qu'Allah vienne en aide à tous les musulmans qui souhaitent vivre leur religion.

wa salamoualeykoum wr wb

Okay maybe yours is worse than mine. The worse incident was when one girl had a bottle smashed in her face but it wasn't even that serious let alone getting stabbed. But having fights with other school i thknk my school would win hands down. This one time two girls had a fight because they both had the same trainers so each one called people down to back them up in the fight. there were about 6 other schools there as well... dont ask me who won I went home all i know is that by the end of it, it turned into a race related fight. Had to get my mum to pick me up everyday for a week because some boys were there and were under instructions to beat up any somali person they saw.

But do you know what I still love my school!!!::) :) :) :)

This one time me and my firend has a water fight in the classroom and we totally soaked the teachers desk because we were sitting at the front. But it was a supply teacher so we wrote her a note saying plz don't tell the head on us. And considering the fact that i dint even have a water bottle i was just sitting thre getting soaked from all angles i didnt see why i should get into trouble.
But the best thing is i have never gotten into trouble at school for anything. I must be a goody goddie two shoes;D ;D ;D

I go to college, supposedly a good college, but I hate it. The majority of muslims are involved in going clubbing and mixing with girls, and there is a small minority of people who are decent. The teaching is rather rubbish, we only have 4 blocks a week per lesson, rather then the normal 5.

So all in all....I hope university won't be as bad
