Greetings,

This is quite obvious really. I've noticed that the symbol next to 27 and 66, among other numbers, will always be the one that comes up. If you choose 33, you then take away 3 + 3, giving you 27. If you choose 32, you take away 3 + 2, giving 27. The numbers and patterns are arranged so that no matter what number you start with, you will always end up on the same symbol.

Peace

 It's a simplpe number game; I've made several mathematical stuff in the past myself. Heres a simple calculator, I made some time ago to perform certain basic functions faster than the one I had as default on my computer . . . :okay:

The symbol is always the same no matter what number you choose. It only changes when you "try again". Every try you get a different symbol taht is the same for all numbers. ;)

The symbol that appears by 0, and beside every number in multiples of 9 will be the one that appears. There are a few spurious ones too, like 66.

If x is your original two-digit number, y is the number of tens in your original two-digit number, and n is the number you take away from that two-digit number, then the rule is:

n = x - 9y

Therefore, as long as the same symbol appears by numbers that are multiples of 9, the mind reader will work.

Well, the symbol that appears on the crystal ball is the symbol that is next to the #9/18/27/etc.... it goes up by 9. So every 9th number will show the same image. so 9 must be an important number when it comes to finding the equation.

this is freaky! but how does it know which number i choose?

lets say 27 is a star and 31 is a diamond... if i pick 27, it will show 27.. if i pick 31, it will show 31... how does it know which 1 im choosing???

:sl:
The answer
When ever you choose a number xy , x+y=z , xy-z As mentioned there in the website for example 42 4+2=6 42-6=36 ,77 7+7=14 77-14=63
The answer will always come in the table of 9
The symbols of the numbers are all the same so it gives the correct symbol every time
But the symbols of the numbers in 9 table change each time you try again.
:w: :thankyou: :thankyou: :thankyou:

since we are playing with numbers. I was wondering any real programmers or mathmaticians can figure this out:
"there are 2 closed rooms with doors beside each other seperated by a wall, one room has THREE lights, and the other has THREE switches. what is the lowest number in which you can figure out which switch belongs to which light in the other room?"

Good Luck...

I kinda figured it out...it has to do with the 9 times table...if u look at all the factors of 9 (9; 18; 27; 36; 45; 54; etc.) on the chart...they all have the same symbol...
