as-salaam alaykum
Israeli occupation soldiers on Monday shot and killed a Palestinian child at the Qalandia refugee camp just north of Jerusalem.
Hospital sources said Muhammed Zaid, 12, died when Israeli troops opened fire on a group of Palestinian children who were hurling stones on the apartheid wall in the area.
Eyewitnesses said trigger-happy Israeli soldiers opened fire, using live ammunition, on fleeing boys, killing Zaid on the spot and injuring two more children. Zaid reportedly died of a bullet in the heart.
An Israeli army spokesman said troops opened fire on children and boys after they sought to "vandalize" the Separation Wall.
Following the incident, hundreds of Palestinians at Qalandia shouted "Gestapo" and "child killers" as Israeli troops fired over their heads.
The Israeli army killed hundreds of Palestinian children in similar incidents in the past five years.
Israeli officials claim to western media that Zionist soldiers don't deliberately target Palestinian children.
However, Palestinians and human rights groups operating in the occupied territories argue rather convincingly that the large number of Palestinian children and minors, which exceeds 1,400, indicates that Palestinian child-killing is a systematic Israeli policy.

Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhee rajioun
And say not of those who are slain in the way of Allah. "They are dead." Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not.
