One of the main distortions of the Christian fundamentalist/terrorist propaganda machine is that we Muslims believe that we will enter Heaven only because of our deeds.
While nothing could be further from the truth, I would like the Muslim brothers and sisters to discuss the issue, since it comes up quite often in discussions.

Allah's Messenger,
sallaallahu alayhe wa sallam, used to say, "None of you will be saved
because of his deeds." They asked, "Not even you Oh Allah's Messenger?"
He said, "No, not even me, except that Allah bestows me with His
mercy." (Bukhari and Muslim)
it will be allah's mercy that will make the muslims enter janah and ofcouse we need to do alot of good deeds in order to get his pleasure:)
