as-salaamu 'alaykum bros & sisters,

I wanted to let everyone know about a service I recently started called NamazAlert. You can sign up with your mobile phone number and zipcode (currently USA only) and everyday (or only which days you specify) the service will calculate the prayer times for your location and send them to you as an SMS message so you can always have an updated 'kaghaz-i auqaat-i namaaz' ;) on you at all times.

check it out: www.namazalert.net

This service is provided for free, however most mobile phone carriers charge for text messaging. It varies from carrier to carrier and plan to plan, so the best way to find out is to call your carrier and ask.

T-Mobile: 1-800-937-8997
Cingular: 1-800-331-0500 (former AT&T customers use 1-800-888-7600)
Sprint/Nextel: 1-800-877-4646
