So simple to ask forgiveness!
Sahih Bukhari
Book 21, Hadith 246
Narrated by Abu Huraira
Allah’s Apostle (PBUH) said, “Our Lord, the Blessed, the Superior, comes every night down on the nearest Heaven to us when the last third of the night remains, saying: “Is there anyone to invoke Me, so that I may respond to invocation? Is there anyone to ask Me, so that I may grant him his request? Is there anyone seeking My forgiveness, so that I may forgive him.”
I have a question: What does the 'last third of the night' imply.....:?

If you're in the UK, then its probably about 2am till 6am.
The first third of the night is like 6pm till 10pm
second third - 10pm - 2am
and the final third is 2am - 6am.
Each with a 4hr in between time span insha'Allaah.
The above example works especially in the winter, so you can probably work it out for the rest of the seasons insha'Allaah.

It should be, Allaahu a'lam - because fajr only finishes once its sunrise, therefore fajr is part of the night.
Allaahu ta'aala 'alam. (Allaah Almighty knows best.)

I really can't say because i'm not a scholar or anythin.. Allaahu a'lam.
Why not perform
tahajjud and wake up about half an hour before fajr. This way, you're prayer might be more likely to be accepted or responded to insha'Allaah.
