One Life, One Chance

I was young, I thought I’d be cool,

I didn’t know, I was such a fool.

I used to wear all the latest gear,

I didn’t know death was near.

To death, I didn’t give a single glance.

I wasted my one life, one single chance.



Mr. Popular was my middle name,

Little did I know it was a foolish game.

I spent half my youth in a shame,

Little did I know, I’d meet the Hellfire flame.

To death, I didn’t give a single glance.

I wasted my one life, one single chance.



If I only had turned to Allah (SWT), but now it’s too late.

Never then would I have met the Hellfire gate.

Why did I miss a single Salaah?

Why did I think I would die when I was old?

My very short life now comes to a fold.

To death, I didn’t give a single glance.

I wasted my one life, one single chance.



Once your life is up, your death is decreed,

Never then could you be freed.

Not a second before, not a second after, yes it s true.

That Angel of Death pulls the soul out of you.

If you did good in this world, you will enjoy the Angel of Death taking your soul.

If you did bad, the Angel of Death will appear in such a form which will cause you to faint & then will you realise it’s too late.



So listen to me carefully, turn to Allah (SWT) & repent.

Do not waste a single moment.

Turn to the One Who created you,

Otherwise Hellfire is waiting for you.
