bismillah hirahman niraheem.

the heart has 4 chambers which pump blood all around the body (circularitry system)

the right side pumps de-oxygenated blood whilst the left side pumps oxygenated blood

4 features of the heart- right ventricle,left ventricle, right atrium, left atrium

oxygenated blood returns from the heart from the lungs, it then leaves the left side to travel around the body.

the semi lunar valve is to prevent the back flow of blood

deoxygenated blood returns to the heart. it leaves the right side of the heart to go to the lungs.

thats what ive been revising from, inshallah hope its sufficient!

mashallah the circularitry system is soo amazing, subhanallah. its a very complex design, by an Almighty Creator.

The mole is a large number, aprox 600 000 000 000 000 000 000 000

that = 1g of hydrogen
=12g of carbon
24g of magnesium

Therefore the relative atomic mass of an element can be expressed in grams contains ONE mole of atoms. This means that the number of atoms of an element can be worked out by weighing.

Calculations can be done by simple equations,

Moles of atoms = mass/RAM

Examples:
1) how many moles of atoms are there in 72g of Mg?
(RAM of mg= 24)

Write down the formula Moles= mass/RAM
rearang if necessary (not needed)
Subsitute the numbers moles= 72g/24
Write the answer and units moles = 3moles

2) what is the mass of 0.1 moles of carbon atoms?
(RAM of carbon = 12)
Write formula
rearange mass= moles * RAM
sub numbers mass= 0.1 * 12

3) how to work out chemical formulae:
What is the simplest formula of a hydrocarbon that contains 60g of carbons combined with 20g of hydrogen?
(RAMS = H=1 C= 12)
Write mass of each element C= 60 H = 20
work out moles using formula
find simplest ratio (divide by smallest number) 5/5= 120/5=1
Write the formula showing the ratio of atoms CH4 (LOL)

4) Moles of molecule
just add all the RAM masses together
e.g water = H2O (H=1, O= 16
The Relative Molecular Mass (RMM) = 1+1+16= 18

or

Carbon dioxide, CO2 (C=12, O=16)

The RMM = 12+16+16=44

('2' only applies to the oxgyen atom, coz theres 2 of them)

a step up transformer is used to increase the voltage, in comparison to a step down transformer which decreases the voltage.

its something to do with a coil and the formula looks a bit likes this:

output voltage/ input voltage= secondary turnss/primary turns

a transformer is used in an eletricity station, it transforms something to something :p

How to Revise in Business Studies

Revision List

Make sure you have a full revision list from your teacher. You must have a checklist of all the topics you must cover. Each topic must also be broken down into sub-topics. Put them in to a table so that you can tick them off as you complete them.

Revision Plan

Make sure that you have planned when you will revise each topic. Try to stick to this plan as best you can. The important thing is to give yourself enough time to cover all topics before you sit the examination.

Topic Read Through

Read through your class notes on the topic in question. Get a feel for what the topic is about and get yourself familiar with the specialist terminology used.

Condensed Summary Notes

You now need to reorganise your notes in to a more manageable revision form. You can do this on post card sized paper, or even blank post cards themselves.

This will give you a series of prompt cards for each topic studied. There is no point completely re-writing all your notes – remember that a little knowledge will go a long way if you have good exam technique.

Formulae, calculations and definitions

Revision is not about trying to commit things to memory. You cannot possibly memorise everything in your exercise books, and you should not attempt to. Revision is about understanding. However there are some elements of the subject that you really do need to have firmly in your mind before you go into the examination.

These are largely to do with the Finance and Accounts topic. You must know how to define and calculate:

Mineral wool has a unique range of properties combining high thermal resistance with long-term stability. It is made from molten glass, stone or slag that is spun into a fibre-like structure which creates a combination of properties that no other insulation material can match.

CE Marking

The Construction Products Directive (89/106/EEC) requires products to be 'CE' marked which shows their conformity with EU standards. alhamdulilah i did myn on wednesday! it wasnt half as bad as i had imagined!

i totally forgot about revising the poetry, i stayed up after fajr revsing for it but alhamdulilah it went really good. i did a question about two poems being anti-social and to compare them with 2 from pre-1914

to kill a mockingbird went really well, i had everything fresh in my head, i chose the question about who gets educated in the novel and how....

subhanallah with the help of allah i remembered what i did and alhamdulilah im grateful! i never have to see that darn book again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :p

DUA FOR ANXIETY

Allahumma inni a'oodhoo bika
minal-hammi walhuzni, wal-'ajzi
wal-kasali wal-bukhli wal-jubni,
wa dal'id-dayni wa ghalabatir-
rajaal

O Allah! I seek refuge in You from anxiety
and sorrow, weakness and laziness,
miserliness and cowardice, the burden of
debts and from being oppressed by men.



DUA FOR DISTRESS

Allahumma rahmataka arjoo falaa
takilnee ilaa nafsee tarfata
'aynin wa aslih-lee sha'nee
kullahu, laa ilaha illa anta

O Allah! It is Your mercy that I hope for
so do not leave me in charge of my affairs
even for a blink of an eye and rectify
for me all of my affairs. None has the
right to be worshipped except You.

"oh my Lord, relieve my mind, and ease my task for me" - this one is unbelievable, it helped me so much

and here are a few a teacher gave me:

1. KAA-HAA-YA-'AIN-SAAD HAA-MEEM-'AIN-SEEN-QAAF
starting at right hand small finger, read each letter e.g. KAA and close a finger upon reading a letter
2. rabbi yasir, wala tu'asir wa tamim bil khair, wa bika nasta'eenu yaa fataahu
3.duroode ibrahim
4. sahil yaa ilaahee kula s'abin bihur mati sayidil abraari sahil
5. Ya Qawiyu - i just tend to keep repeating this before the exam along with 'oh my lord relieve my mind...' and its great mashallah!!

well i think inshallah the matter of the 'ain is sorted with the ' present!! but i got the duas from www.al-qaria.net but i think inshallah it may be better to stick with the english translation jus in case :|

Well, I've got like two GCSE exams everyday day unfortunetly.

I'm quite silly, as I chose the most academically challenging subjects. These are:

French. History, Geography, IT , RE and not to forget Eng lit, language, double Science and Maths!

They're all in a couple of days

If anyone has any tips please post them!

:) I think you maybe right, but I don't know much about European Schools outside the UK . . . Secondary schools in UK are for kids between 11 and 16 years of age . . . :)
