Astronaut?

Salam,
I hope one day to become an Astronaut, Inshallah, i am not sure what to major in when i go to college. Would i major in Astronautical Engineering or something else?

The original astronauts were selected from the ranks of combat pilots. Todays astronauts are probably a combo of skills. Depending on the specific posistion you are looking for. Just of the top of my head I suspect the future ones will be selected from computer scientists, aeronautical engineers, biologists, Medical doctors, Mechanical engineers and possibly communication experts.
