I dunno how to say. Firstly he's not a scholar, and the way he dialogues is extremely unislamic and actually gives a bad impression of islam, and he's said a lot of things that have gone against the teachings of Islam. He's also very apologetic on a lot of islamic issues

Obviously he has site in response to a specific anti-islamic site that i won't name, but becaue of the name of the site- "answering-christianity" being similar to the anti-islamic one in question, most non-muslims will think this is the muslim response to the allegations, and this is the way a muslim dialogues, and it doesn't convery the true portrait of islam. Also he stoops to the low levels of the anti-islamic counterparts by distorting and misquoting the Bible to give worse versions and views of it, which again is unislamic. He clearly has no 'ijaaza in any fields and openly has said so, and thats the reaosn i feel he should leave it to muslims with knowledge. I mean there are plenty of bro's on this site alone that can do a better job than him - Bro's Ansar Al-'Adl, Kadafi, Fi-Sab they can all do much better, and instead of allowing non-muslims to go to other sites they automatically assume this is the islamic response

Also i know of many scholars who have spoken out agianst his unislamic articles telling him to stop, and in adition to that not so long ago there was a petition going around to get him ousted urging him to step down and hand the site over to muslims of knowledge

Yeah, exactly... what's wrong with the site? I wonder? If someone made a very bold statement that the site is rubbish, please enlightened us why is it so?

Peace...

Not only that bro there are many islamic sites that while they refute anti islamic sites they at the same time refute Osama Abdullah's site (answering-christianity) and often have to apologise to non-muslims for his behaviour

Salam Aleykum

I have to admit, Sam Shamoun, has from what I see some 'raw talent' in speaking. I have spoken to him and it was fun.

Answering....is a site which I find useful stuff which is cool, when I was a baby muslim I used to frequent both of the answering sites alot.

Anyhow, salam Aleykum

DBZ is good! I find it sad that Gohan got really weak. Still watching through the dbz seris. Will start the new seris soon...

yeah the guy has definitly made articles which are wrong. For example Osma says that people will not stay in Hell forever and be forgiven. Well that cannot be right:

Glorious Qur'an [2:80]: Some have said, "Hell will not touch us, except for a limited number of days." Say, "Have you taken such a pledge from GOD - GOD never breaks His pledge - or, are you saying about GOD what you do not know?"

But however i prefer his website to exist, rather than not to exist, a few of articles are very good, and the website refutes many anti-islamic websites which could be refuted by a ten year old but noone has the time.

Also i know of many scholars who have spoken out agianst his unislamic articles telling him to stop, and in adition to that not so long ago there was a petition going around to get him ousted urging him to step down and hand the site over to muslims of knowledge
That sounds like a good idea. If scholars took over, it would have been brilliant. But it looks like it did not work...that sounds unislamic. You should let higher knowledge people debate stuff. No use trying to talk to a six year old about pie when they think it is food (pie=3.14...).

It seems that there has not been much response to the original topic, and I would suggest that if you have any specific areas you wish to discuss with Christians, this can be brought forward in a new thread - bearing in mind that we have quite a few threads about Islam and Christianity already, so please be sure not to start a debate that is already going on.

As for the off-topic and unproductive posts, including the responses to them; they have been deleted.
