HOLLYWOOD, Florida (13 Sep 2005) -- Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officials are still searching for the boater who ran over and killed a diver near Dania Beach pier on Saturday.
Police told CDNN no witnesses have come forward to add details to what little is known about the hit-and-run boat.
According to the diver's buddy, the boat was white with blue trim, about 25 to 30 feet in length and there was a woman wearing a bikini onboard.

The victim has been identified as 26-year-old Ghaleb Tayfour, a student at Florida Atlantic University.
The divers were using a "diver down" flag as required by Florida law.
Police and state wildlife officers have asked anyone with information about the accident to call 305-956-2500 or 954-493-8477.

I am sorry to hear about your friend. If it is any consolation keep in mind that the killer has to live with the thought of the result of his/her stupidity. That can be a more severe and more just punishment then the courts can ever apply.

That person will now live for all eternity with a secret that they must keep buried, and the deeper they bury it, the more it will control them. A guilty consience is a very formidable punishment. Prison and or monetary payment are only temporary and an end can be seen. Thoughts and feelings of guilt last an eternity. The guilty one has not escaped, has only walked into a self imposed prison.

the family has even offered a reward of 10,000 US dollars and no response from anyone yet.

the boat that struck him was huge, so they were skeptical if the driver even felt he did hit anything

The person would know. There would have been newspaper and TV news the person would have seen those. The person would know the boat description and location and time would point to him/her.

Yeh I'm sorry brother that your friend's killer hasn't been caught. Although justice has not been served on earth, the killer will pay in the hereafter
