This Kassam Rockets launched at a school in Sderot was aimed with the intention of hurting kids from the ages of 5-12, and spreading fear by using terror tactics. This is 1 out of 140 Rockets launched into Israel.

The IAF killed two Islamic Jihad operatives wanted for launching Kassam rockets at Israel. A third person was wounded in the attack in northern Gaza on Friday night.

Palestinian sources revealed that one of the dead was Imad Yassin, commander of the armed wing of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza.

The IDF stated that the cell was responsible for the Kassam rockets that have been launched at Sderot in recent days, including ones targeted at the home of Defense Minister Amir Peretz, Army Radio reported.

Earlier in the day, MK Avigdor Lieberman (Israel Beiteinu) suggested that Israel level the homes of Hamas leaders in response to the continued launching of Kassam rockets from the Gaza Strip.

He made the suggestion while visiting Sderot residents who have launched a hunger strike before the home of the defense minister in protest of the wave of rockets that have been fired at their city, especially in the last two weeks.

The army noted that in the past week alone, more than 140 such rockets were fired into Israel from Gaza.

Meanwhile, Justice Minister Haim Ramon insisted that there were no "absolute solutions to Kassam launches," still, he said, "Israel would use means that have never been used before to face the threat," Army Radio reported.

On Friday, the wave of Kassams that have been launched at Israel continued, with seven more rockets by midday. One of the missiles hit a greenhouse near the southern town of Netivot shortly before the workers employed at the place arrived. Another rocket failed to clear the Gaza Strip and landed among the ruins of the former settlement of Dugit.

During the night, the IDF thwarted a launch attempt, when it identified and fired at a terrorist cell preparing to fire a rocket. No one was wounded by any of the rockets launched in the last 24 hours.

On Thursday, one person was lightly wounded when a Kassam rocket struck a factory in Sderot.
