Salaam,
My Imam was imprisoned for admonishing his community for not paying Zakaat.
How can a non muslim state, jail someone for his religion, under the anti terrorisim Act. What sholu we muslims do to fight this injustice.
wa salaam

Greetings,
That seems like a very odd thing to be imprisoned for. What country are we talking about, and what community was this Imam addressing?
Peace

This Imam is from Trinidad and he was speaking to his community ( Jamaat Al Muslimeen) as well as Muslims in the country

Muslims have no rights these days, there's nothing you can do but pray for the imam.

Let me see if I've got this straight. He was talking to non-Muslims, and he was reprimanding them for not paying an Islamic religious tax. Is that it?
It really would be helpful if you actually told us what it is you're talking about.
Jamaat Al Muslimeen sound like
lovely people, by the way. See
here.

Greetings,
Could the fact that Jamaat Al Muslimeen members have been prosecuted for serious violent crimes and that the organisation itself is under suspicion of having terrorist connections have anything to do with this?
Peace
