I didn't make myself very clear. :giggling:
What I meant was that most Muslims in my local community are from Pakistan, and
not any other Islamic country.
Our local community is largely white British, with the next largest ethnic group being from Pakistan or of Pakistani origin; then a few people from India, Carribean, Africa, China, other European countries.
This is not based on any official population statistics, just my personal knowledge. :)
How about you? Are there any non-Muslims where you live?
peace

not much..
what i think is that as u live in England, many people move to your country for higher studies.. in that case u are having good number of people from all around the world in which many are Muslims (as there isnt any doubt that Isalm is spreading very fast, Mashallah!). And about the second largest ratio from my country, I guess ur country is very popular among my countrymen!
well, i will also move to ur country soon for getting my bachelor' & master' degrees. and will Inshallah join ur community to increase the ratio more! :)

welcome to the forum!
while it's true that urdu uses a modified form of the arabic alphabet as well as a number of arabic words - it is
very different. urdu is an indo-european language.
i've been trying to teach myself urdu for the last 3 years. it is a very beautiful language.
