Sometimes in order to help, He makes us cry.

Happy the eye that sheds tears for His sake.

Fortunate the heart that burns for His sake.

Laughter always follows tears.

Blessed are those who understand.

Life blossoms wherever water flows.

Where tears are shed divine mercy is shown.

one of those is the door of repentance, child.
All the others are sometimes open, sometimes shut,
but the door of repentance is never closed.

Will any sane man turn to philosohpy when Allah has given Wahi to his Servant? When we have the revelation of Allah, why would you want to turn to such filth as pholosophy? Philosophy corrupts the mind, and it casts doubt upon the laymen.

Philosophy has caused so much of the deviations present today in the Ummah.

I don't agree with the Sufist sect..... However I enjoy poetry.... I enjoy Rumi as much as I would enjoy Anna Akhmatova or Antonio Machado or nizzar qibani.... I don't substitute poetry for religion.... but to me anyhow it is good to be exposed to all culture.... How else can you be certain that you are on the right track if you don't compare, contrast then decide on what is right? Al7mdlilah 3la ni3mat Alislam... And Al7mdlilah for the prophet who asked us to seek knowledge from cradle to the grave....

I wasnt speaking against poetry even though I dont really like it. I was just highlighting the evils of Philosophy and the corruption it has caused in this Ummah.

I agree philosophy is archaic, for the most part non-conducive.... Sorry you don't like poetry though... I personally think it is a good outlet and a way to vent and express ones emotions....:sister: :w:

I cry and weep before my Beloved, for that appears well pleaseing to Him
And in both worlds our crying and sorrowful sighs are loved byHim.
Blessed is that eye that cries in the remembrance of the Beloved
And blessed is the heart that is embroiled in His love.
For as long as the babe does not cry,
milk does not flow forth from mother breasts
And as long as the clouds don't shed raindrops,
the garden does not become green.
From the 'crying' of the clouds, the garden becomes green and fertile.
And as much as the candle cries, so much it increases its light.
And where tears flow, mercy prevails.
Allah equates the tears of the sinner in grief
To the blood flowing from a martyr.
Crying and weeping is a great wealth.
And the Mercy of Allah is a great blessing.
The wealth of this world consists of gold and silver.
The capital in Allah's sight is Love and two crying eyes."
