Should he do the prostration of recitation if he hears a recording of a verse in which a prostration is required?

They are 2 different questions glo.

This one is asking when you have to prostrate during the recitation of the Quran. There are 14 verses where you have to prostrate... once you've read them or heard them.

The other question was regarding whether its ok or if it is better to make duah (supplication) to Allah in the state of prostration.

Of course the answer is yes, its better to ask when in prostration because your at your most humble position and closest to Allah.
