well when my friend told Shikeh Shuraim about me in front of him in his office at UQUniversity that ppl call me shiekh shuraim becoz I copy him he smiled and looked at me from him glasses !!! THAT LOOK FROM HIM FOR ONE SEC WAS MILLION YEARS FOR ME and I cant tell u what was the feeling... I consider him as the BEST SCHOLAR IMAM everything..and I LOVE HIM....if I wud have known the fact that he can speak english I wud have talked to him directly !!! :(

I planed to write a FULL story but cudnt do it so I thought I shud add things...

do u think SS (ha) will remember me? I spent 20 mins talking to him in his room but he was bz in signing papers but he finally looked me when the guy was telling ALOT about me ...that the guy alos does this this and that !!!

Yes, today was not very very bad, but there is nevertheless some defects on sound. I see this problem just in Saudi 1, but in Saudi 2 it's really good sound.

I think that some days they does not configure the sound correctly in Saudi 1, because sometimes the sound on channel 1 is good, wa Allahu a'lam

I don't know if you know this Channel : Al Majd Holy Quran which diffuse recitation of al Quran al Kareem all the days with differents Shaykh. (like Sudais, Shuraim, al Budayr, al Juhani, 'Abdul Basit 'Abdul Samad, etc..) It's translated sometimes in French and sometimes in English. Ma sha Allah i like this channel.

This days, the Quran is recited by Shaykh Sudais and Shuraim every night at 10:00 pm (Uk time) There is subtitles in Arabic and French.

:sl: I have a cassette tape, from 1412 taraweeh, Sh.Thubayti led that year in Makkah,also Sh.Shuraim,Sh.Sudais,and Sh.Humaid led too. Sura Fatiha was recited by Sh.Thubayti in the tape,and he cried during reciting it. Sh.thubayti is the only other imam than shuraim i heard to cry in sura fatiha, as far as i know. i wish i could put the recitation on here.i'll try to convert it into a cd. inshallah.:sl:

Yes, its not possible, because As Salat is just for Allah, and if he make something for you or another in his salat, it will not be as Salat just for Allah. It may be a "shirk" on salat, and the salat could not be accepted in sha Allah, wa Allahu a'lam.

sheikh saleh aaaal talib said a poem when he did a lecture 'back home' a short poem about the people pf Tai' and the he ended by saying im not a poet but on a gathering like this it makes a non poet a poet! i dont quite have it in writing :(

what happened was, he was leading fajr, and there was also a Janaza prayer after it, and just as i started 2 speak 2 him after the prayer, the body was being carried to Jannatul-Baqi [a well know cemetry where many sahaba (RA) are buried]. and there is more reward in following the body 2 its burial (2 Qirats) then speaking to Thubaity.

Sheikh Shuraim has recited from Surah Yousuf in Fajr salaah. But that was long ago, and I'm not where I have it. Generally they do have set parts they read from, and go random when its close Ramadan or any other time they feel like. lol.

I dont think they do tahajjud everyday - in fact, i'm convinced they dont. Its only in the last 10 nights of ramadan, and its the standard imams (sudais, shuraim, budayr and juhany) who lead

The Tahajjud Azan is given everday but its not led in congregation except for during the last ten days of Ramazan, instead it is for those who wish to pray alone (so then know when the time has started)

I think the exact khutbah given on brotherhood and unity by Sheikh Shuraim(HA) was given before, sometime in July 2006 I think, but even if this khutbah was given every week for seventy weeks, the meanings will hardly be drilled into the hearts of some. A wonderful khutbah which calls upon the need to be repeated over and over again.

ضيفنا هذا الأسبوع فضيلة الدكتور سعود الشريم وهو شخصية بارزة وعلم من الأعلام ‚ فقد اعتدنا على سماع صوته صداحا في الحرم المكي‚ يؤم ويخطب جموع المسلمين‚وهو إلى جانب ذلك باحث في علم الفقه وقاض وداعية له جولات في أنحاء العالم الإسلامي‚ ومؤلف قدير طالما سطعت له في سمائنا (ومضات من الحرم) وشاعر فذ صاغ عددا من المتون العلمية في قوالب شعرية‚ المصحف المرتل بصوته محل اعجاب السامعين في بلاد العرب والعجم ولا يكاد يخلو منه بيت مسلم فتعالوا نتعرف عليه عن قرب في هذا اللقاء الشيق‚
نعود إلى الوراء قليلا لنسأل ‚‚ كيف تلقيت خبر تعيينك إماما للحرم المكي؟ وكيف نقل إليك؟ وهل لنا أن تصف شعورك عند تلقيك له؟ ـ تعييني إماما في المسجد الحرام لم يكن مفاجئا لي لأنه مسبوق بمحادثات قبل التعيين بزمن‚ وكان قبل ذلك كله بعض الرؤى المنامية التي عبرت بالإمامة في المسجد الحرام‚ ولا شك أن الإمامة بالمسجد الحرام تشريف من الباري جل شأنه وكرم ومنة أسأله سبحانه أن يوزعني شكرها وأن يثبتنا وإخواننا بالقول الثابت في الحياة الدنيا وفي الآخرة‚
أنتم تتولون الخطابة بالحرم المكي فكيف تستعدون للخطبة وكيف تحضرونها؟
ـ ليس هناك طريقة محددة في اختيار الخطب وتحديدها‚ إذ كل خطبة تفرض نفسها من خلال الواقع المتاح‚ ومع أن الخطبة لا تأتيني إلا مرة واحدة في الشهر إلا أنني لا أستطيع الاستفادة من هذه المدة الطويلة في الإعداد‚ حيث إن اختيار الموضوع متعلق بالاستماع إلى خطب الأئمة من قبلي حتى لا أقع في موضوع قد طرح من قبل‚ ولذلك لا أستطيع تحديد الموضوع إلا بعد آخر خطيب يخطب‚ فإن الخطب في المسجد الحرام ذات بال وأمرها ليس بالهين‚ إذ لم يحصل في التاريخ أن تستمع الدنيا إلى خطيب الحرم بمثل ما يكون في زمننا هذا‚ وهنا مكمن الصعوبة والأهمية‚ ولعل الأمر يذكرني بمقولة عبدالملك بن مروان حينما قال: شيبتني المنابر‚ وعن التأمل في هذه المقولة نجد أن قائلها كان خليفة وفقيها فصيحا فكيف بمن هو أقل من ذلك بكثير؟ إن الأمر يستدعي الاستعانة بالله سبحانه واستلهام الرشد والتوفيق منه وحده‚
يرى البعض أن الشيخ د ‚ سعود مقل في تقديمه للمحاضرات العامة والدروس العلمية على الرغم من شدة حاجة الساحة لأمثالكم هل من توضيح؟
ــ أما إقلالي من المحاضرات فنعم هو كذلك‚ والسبب في ذلك في عدم تفرغي لها ولا سيما خارج مكة لأجل الارتباط بالإمامة وصعوبة تأمين البديل من الأئمة بشكل متكرر‚ ثم إنني أعتبر خطابتي بالمسجد الحرام نوعا من المحاضرات التي توفي بالغرض‚ أما محاضراتي خارج المملكة فهي أكثر من داخلها بكثير‚ وأما الدروس العلمية فأنا أقيمها في المسجد الحرام ثلاثة أيام في الأسبوع بعد صلاة الفجر‚ وذلك في الكتب التالية: بلوغ المرام‚ النظم الجيد في علوم القرآن‚ وأصول التفسير‚ وإسراج الخيول بنظم المسائل الأربع‚ وثلاثة الأصول وقد درست قبلها مائية ابن أبي داود في الاعتقاد والقواعد المثلى والورقات في الأصول وأحصر المختصرات في الفقه وكشف الشبهات‚
استغل البعض الأحداث الأخيرة فأقتحموا خطب الجمعة وشن البعض حملات على أئمتها ولم يستثنوا من ذلك أحدا على الرغم من أن الواقع خلاف ما ادعوه فما الأسلوب الأبلغ والأفضل في تبني الدفاع وإظهار الحق من وجهة نظركم؟
ــ القول بأن جميع الخطباء كمل قول باطل‚ كما أن القول بأن جميع الخطباء ليسوا مؤهلين قول باطل أيضا‚ إذ الخطابة شأنها كشأن غيرها من المهن الدينية فيها المتميز وفيها دون ذلك‚ والتعميم المطلق من أغلظ المقولات‚ كما أن الاعتراف بالقصور في الجوانب الخطابية أمر ينبغي أن نسلم به‚ وأننا بحاجة إلى رفع مستوى الخطيب والخطابة من حيث الأهلية العلمية واللغوية والموضوعية‚ ولكن الذي ينبغي أن نقر به جميعا أن الخطباء إنما هم جزء منا وكل إناء بما فيه ينضح فهل ننتظر أن ينزل علينا خطباء من السماء لا يعصون الله ما أمرهم ويفعلون ما يؤمرون؟
هل تأثرت بخطيب أو قارئ معين؟ وما موقفك إذا سمعت من القراء من يقلدك؟
ــ لم أتأثر بخطيب بعينه‚ ولكن ربما أعجبتني بعض الخطب من بعض الخطباء‚ وأما القراء فلم أتأثر بقارئ بعينه كذلك‚ ولا أرى غضاضة فيمن يقلدوني مع أنني لا أحب للقارئ أن يقلد أحدا‚ بل أحب أن يكون مستقلا بنفسه لئلا يزدرى‚
حفظ القرآن الكريم وتلاوته لهما الأثر الجلي على الخطابة واستقامة البيان متى تم لكم حفظ القرآن الكريم ولمن تدين بالفضل في هذا الشأن؟
ــ حفظت القرآن الكريم بفضل الله في أواخر المرحلة الثانوية‚ وكان حفظي له محض اجتهاد مني بعد توفيق الله وصححت حفظي بالاجتهاد ولم أقرأ القرآن قط على شيخ من المشايخ إلا ما كان في الحصص الرسمية بالمرحلة الجامعية والحمد لله على توفيقه وامتنانه‚
الأعداد الغفيرة من المسلمين الذين يأتون لأداء الحج والعمرة من أصقاع العالم بلا شك أنهم بحاجة لجرعات مكثفة من التوعية والتوجيه نظرا لانتشار الشركيات والبدع وما شابهها ‚‚ هل من خطوات عملية مقترحة لذلك؟
ــ ما يتعلق بتوجيه الحجيج أمر له شأن عظيم لأن الله جل وعلا يقول: «ليشهدوا منافع لهم» «الحج: 28»‚ والمنافع قسمان دينية ودنيوية والدينية تتمثل في العلم والتوجيه ومعرفة السنن والبعد عن البدع ونحوها غير أن هذا الأمر يحتاج إلى جهود مكثفة‚ إذ هو ليس قاصرا على المختصين بالمسجد الحرام أو بوزارة الشؤون الإسلامية‚ بل إن الأمر أعظم من ذلك فهو يحتاج إلى تضافر الجهود في جميع القطاعات المعنية بالحج‚ وأما الخطوات المقترحة فأهمها إلزام كل المطوفين بإعطاء دورات توجيهية للحجاج قبل قدومهم‚ وكذلك تسليم كل حاج مع تأشيرة الحج بعض الأشرطة والمطويات التي تحمل التوجيه اللازم للحاج قبل قدومه بفترة كافية‚ وليس كما يحصل الآن‚ حيث لا يتسلم الحاج المطويات والأشرطة في بعض الأحيان إلا مع قدومه أو عند مغادرته وهذا يقلل النفع بها بعد عودته‚
ما زالت المؤسسات الخيرية تئن وتتوجع مما لحق بها وأضعف من أدائها إثر أحداث 11سبتمبر ‚‚ هل هي الاستكانة والرضا بالأمر الواقع أم هنالك خطط للدفاع والتفعيل؟
ــ ما أصاب المؤسسات الخيرية بعد الأحداث لم يأت طفرة دون مقدمات‚ بل هو مسبوق بتخطيط من قبل الأعداء ولكن الأحداث صارت كالقشة التي قصمت ظهر البعير وهي الآن تكأة يتكئ عليها الغرب الحاقد في إخماد هذه المؤسسات التي طال خيرها مشارق الأرض ومغاربها‚ ولا شك أن الوقوف أمام هذا الوضع المزري أمر يتطلبه ديننا الحنيف‚ إذ لا ينبغي لنا أن نكف عن أعمال الخير لمجرد ضغوط أجنبية لا تمت للإسلام بصلة‚ أما الخطط والتفعيل في الواقع فلا أعلم شيئا من ذلك بارزا من قبل المعنيين بها‚ ولكن لعل هول الصدمة وأثر الفجأة لم يكن كفيلا في النهوض السريع لإيجاد حلول ناجعة أمام هذا التيار العاصف والبعض يرى أن هذه أحداث ليس لها من دون الله كاشفة والله غالب على أمره ولكن أكثر الناس لا يعلمون‚
كيف يرى الشيخ سعود مستوى مناشطنا الدعوية؟ وما طموحاتك بشأنها؟ ـ
ـ مناشطنا الدعوية في حالة تسر ولله الحمد‚ لكن طموحاتنا تروم أعلى مما هي عليه الآن‚ لأن الدعوة إلى الله لا تحد بحد‚ بل يصدق عليها قوله تعالى: «وتزودوا فإن خير الزاد التقوى واتقون يا أولي الألباب» «البقرة: 197»‚ والمقرر شرعا أن الدعوة إلى الله من أفضل أنواع العبادة وقد أمر الله نبيه بقوله: «واعبد ربك حتى يأتيك اليقين» «الحجر: 99» نحن بحاجة إلى أن تكون الدعوة إلى الله هي همنا وواقعنا حتى الموت‚
حملة التغريب الموجهة للمرأة المسلمة ‚‚ ما أخطر مظاهرها؟
ــ من أخطر مظاهر حملة التغريب للمرأة المسلمة هو التشكيك في الأصول والمقررات التي خص الله بها المرأة‚ إضافة إلى فتح باب الجرأة على التشريع وإخضاعه لتقييم أدعياء المرأة دون قيود‚ وهذا هو مكمن الخطر في القضية‚ لأنه لا يفرق بين مشروعية التصحيح وبين نسف المشروعية وتهميشها‚
الجهات الدعوية متعددة كتعدد ميادينها ‚‚ ولكن ينقصها التنسيق فيما بينها وفي حالة استمرار الوضع على هذا الحال ‚‚ ماذا سنجني من وراء ذلك؟
ــ الواقع يؤكد تعددية الجهات الدعوية لاختلاف الميادين المناطة بها‚ وهذا أمر لا ضير فيه وإنما الضير في الاختلاف بين هذه الجهات المفرز البعد والتنازع وعدم التنسيق‚ لأن ذلك كله سبيل إلى تلاشي الجهود وتراميها شذر مذر‚ والذي يجب أن نعيه في هذه المسألة هو أنه ينبغي أن تكون هذه التعددية تعددية تنوع لا تعددية تضاد‚ لأن التنوع مأذون فيه والتضاد ممنوع‚
الدورات المكثفة لحفظ القرآن الكريم تختلف حولها الآراء بين مؤيد ومعارض إلى أي الرأيين يميل الشيخ سعود؟
ــ الدورات المكثفة لحفظ القرآن الكريم لا تحتمل إلا التأييد والتشجيع‚ لأن القرآن كلام الله فمهما صار فيه من تكثيف لحفظه ومدارسته فهو خير كله وقد قال الشاطبي - رحمه الله- وأحسن إليه إذ قال: وخير جليس لا يمل حديثه وترداده يزداد فيه تجملا فإن الأوقات مهما شغلت مع القرآن في خير عظيم أنه ينبغي التأكيد على ألا يكون عهد الحافظ بالقرآن تلك الدورة المكثفة فحسب‚ بل لا بد من المواصلة والمتابعة وأما الذين لا يؤيدون مثل تلك الدورات فحجتهم أن ما يأتي فإنه يذهب سريعا‚ وهذا ليس على إطلاقه لأن القرآن له خصوصية تتمثل في كونه متعبدا بتلاوته‚
من خلال زياراتكم للمراكز الإسلامية في الخارج واطلاعكم على أحوال الأقليات ‚‚ هل لمستم أثرا فاعلا لهذه المراكز على المسلمين هناك؟
ــ لقد وفقت ولله الحمد في زيارة كثير من المراكز الإسلامية خارج المملكة‚ وهي ليست على حد سواء فمنها المتميز ومنها دون ذلك‚ ولعل هذا يرجع إلى عدة عوامل منها عدم تفرغ القائمين على تلك المراكز لكونهم من طلاب البعثات أو لقلة تواصل الجالية المسلمة مع بعضها البعض‚ أو النقص في الموارد المالية التي تعد شريانا في دفع حركة الدعوة إلى الله‚
بلا شك أن ذاكرتكم تحتفظ بالكثير من الذكريات الجميلة والمؤثرة مع أصحاب الفضيلة العلماء الكرام هلا أتحفتنا بشيء منها؟
ــ أحمد الله أن علاقتي بمشايخي العلماء علاقة يحدوها التقدير والتوقير والمحبة لهم‚ وذلك لفضلهم على بعد الله‚ ومنهم سماحة شيخنا العلامة عبدالعزيز بن باز - رحمه الله -‚ وشيخنا العلامة محمد العثيمين - رحمه الله -‚ وشيخنا العلامة عبدالله بن جبرين‚ والشيخ العلامة عبدالله بن عقيل‚ والشيخ صالح الفوزان‚ والشيخ عبدالله الغديان‚ والشيخ عبدالرحمن البراك‚ والشيخ عبدالعزيز الراجحي‚ وغيرهم‚
أما المواقف مع بعضهم فهي كثيرة ويصعب استحضار شيء بالخصوص في هذه العجالة لكن صلتي وذكرياتي أكثر ما تكون مع شيخنا محمد العثيمين - رحمه الله-‚ ولعل من المناسب أن أذكر موقفا مع سماحة الشيخ ابن باز - رحمه الله - قبل وفاته بعشرة أيام‚ حيث شكل لجنة فيها عضويتي وفي الاجتماع أوصانا بعمل الخطوات اللازمة لهذه اللجنة فقلت له سنجتمع ونرسم الخطوات ونعرضها عليك‚ فقال لنا لا تعرضوها علي فلعلكم لا تحتاجون إلي في هذا‚ وكان من قدر الله أن قبضت روحه بعد عشرة أيام فرحمه الله رحمة واسعة‚
ماهو دور زوجة الشيخ سعود الشريم في نجاحاته الدعوية والأكاديمية ؟ ـ
ـ قبل أن أذكر شيئا عن زوجتي فإني لا أنسى فضل والدتي علي التي غمرتني بحنانها وأسدلت علي سربال تربيتها ودعائها لي صغيرا وكبيرا‚ حيث ربتني يتيما صغيرا فكان صدرها لي حواء وثديها لي وعاء وحنانها لي دواء فجزاها الله عني خير الجزاء ورحمها كما ربتني صغيرا‚
أما الزوجة فقد كانت لي نعم الرفيق ونعم المشارك في الفرح والترح والمنشط والمكره أجدها عند الحاجة وأفقد فيها اللجاجة تواسيني بهمها معي تخفف من آلامي إذا تألمت وتسر لسروري إذا فرحت لها حضورها وأثرها في كيان بيتي وتحديد مساره جعل الله ذلك في ميزان حسناتها‚
قراء الوطن ينتظرون نصيبهم من كلماتك الطيبة؟ ــ أما وصيتي للقراء فهي تقوى الله سبحانه التي أوصى بها الأولين والآخرين‚ والحرص الدؤوب وما ينبغي أن يبذل تجاهها لأنها بصلاحها يصلح المجتمع‚ وبفسادها يفسد المجتمع‚ وأن يحرصوا أشد الحرص على ألا يدخل بيوتهم من الوسائل إلا المفيد الناجح من كتاب أو مجلة أو نحو ذلك‚ وأخص أسرتنا بالاهتمام لما تعنى به في هذا المجال المبارك من خلال الاستقراء الملموس والأثر الناجح نفع الله بهم وزادهم من الهدى والتقى إنه سميع مجيب

so today our guest is Sheikh Saud bin Ibrahim al Shuraim.he is imam and khateeb of masjid al haram,a very prominent personality of the islamic world, a dignified researcher in fiqh,a judge and a poet,he has many trips in many countries,he is a good writer,has written many books on aqeedah and stuff....
well the recitation of quran kareem in his melodious voice is very famous and there may not beany muslim home where he is not listen to...
so lets start ...
1st Q:what were your feelings when you were made the imam of the haram al makky?
SS says:My acceptance as an imam of haram was not something that was surprise and happened at once rather it was a long process,it took much time...and before being appointed as an imam,i used to dream of being so and indeed it is a great blessing of Allah (SWT) to be an imam of haram .i ask Him to guide me on the path of gratefulness..
2nd Q:you people give khutbah in haram,so how do you compose it and how do you deliever?
SS says:there is no particular way for it,moreover the khutbah are often delievered according to the circumstances/current affairs...and for me, it is just once in a month when i have to give khutbah and it doesnt mean that i have such a long time to compose it because i dont know the topic unless the imam before me has given his khutbah as the khutbah is related to the previous one...moreover it is necessary to avoid such a situation that i may repeat the previous topics...i remember what Abdul Malik bin Marwan said"the manabir(probably giving khotab)has made me old..imagine that about a person who was a caliph and had excellent oratory skills!
so what about a person who is much more less efficient?the matter needs assistance from Allah (swt).
3rd Q: it is seen that Dr. Saud does not deleiver much public lectures and stuff....whats the reason?would you plz explain?
SS says:yes you are right and this is because i am too busy and i dont leave Makkah due to imamah and i consider my friday khutbah as a public lecture.as far as my lectures out of the K.S.A are concerned ,they are much more in number than the lectures in the KSA.and i give religious sermons at masjid al haram three days in a week after fajr salah from the books(mentioned in the arabic text)
4th Q:were you influenced by some particular qari(reciter) or khateeb?what do you think when you listen to the reciters who copy you?
SS says:no,i am not influenced by some particular khateeb...but sometimes i like some of the khutab by some khateebs.and as for reciters i am not influenced by some particular reciter..and i have no objection on the ones who copy me but i think one should not follow/copy some reciter instead one should make ones own way of reciting...
5th q: Memorisation of quran and its recitation have a great impact on the khotab?so when did you complete your hifz and to whom you are indebted to in this regard?

My acceptance as an imam of haram was not something that was surprise and happened at once rather it was a long process,it took much time...and before being appointed as an imam,i used to dream of being so and indeed it is a great blessing of Allah (SWT) to be an imam of haram .i ask Him to guide me on the path of gratefulness..

and i give religious sermons at masjid al haram three days in a week after fajr salah from the books(mentioned in the arabic text)

lol...Why does Sheikh Saleh al-Talib recite like a white man with that unique 'tha' and 'kha' sound. SubhanAllah ive heard a few more but why do they do that?

On the other hand the Qira' of Sheikh Shuraim and Sheikh Juhany is perfect.
They both have proper recitations.

well !!! I know many ppl in this world wud think to become an imam !! but after reading to this interview of SS I felt that I shud post it that I used to dream ( literly ) this as well !!! when I was a child I use but Now I feel that I have done so much sins :( that I shudnt think like that !!! but I wish some of my children may become one !! for that I wana live in makkah after my marriage so that they grow up in arabic culture speak arabic as mother tounge etc

one of my dream was that I reached in makkah for asar and I had to go for wazoo and I became late for imamat !! and then I lead maghrib and amazingly I stood where imaams dont stand !! oposite side to makaam ibrahim at the same distance where usually imam stand for prayer !! and I read from surah ibrahim starting from WALAA TAHSABANNALLAH GHAFILAN.... !! wow what was that !! I have seen many times myself going inside baitullah !! Alhamdulillah


Please pray for me! and I want all that for the sake of Allah !!! may Allah accepts me and all of us for the best path and direction that is in HIS ABSOLUTE knowledge!!! may he accepts me for struggle for his religion for his name !!
