Sheikh Shuraim came to USA in Oct 2000 on personal visit for his wife treatment .
Also a friend told me that sheikh shuraim led janazah prayer of Sheikh Umar Subayyal it was after maghrib and in Maghrib salah SS cried so much that people thought he wont be able to complete salah, my friend said he will send me the recording.

i have checked the news of sheikh umar subayyal , which says his namaz e janzah will be after Asra

Insha'Allah he will be off to Makkah tonight for the last ten days where Insha'Allah SS will be on top form as always!! May Allah keep SS in good health give him the Tawfeeq to recite the Quran Al Majeed at his best!!!..(....as per usual) ......Ameen.

Jazakallah for azaan bro....But what mostly strikes me is 'Salaatul qiyaaam yathaabakum ullah" Which I think is a beautiful way to start such a beautiful deed.

Also, the iqaamaat from Makkah are extremely beautiful....Much better than any other mosque :eek:....My opinion anyway.

lol, truth is....I used to stay awake until after Fajr didnt get tired much until then, but if Shaykh Humaid used to lead Fajr I used to feel a little extra sleepier during Fajr.

Masha'Allah he's a blessed Shaykh, his khutbahs are excellent.

i dont remember i went to sleep before isharq :)
but 99% or 98% fajar i prayed there were led by Sheikh shuraim so there is noway i feel sleepy when SS is leading :)

They read about the same length time wise.. Its one juzz but its slower paced than Taraweeh, so its still an hour and 30 mins or so. So Sheikh Shuraim still has the same amount of time leading.. Or not? :?

For me, Isha Starts @ 10:30 PM, so in mecca its abt 8:00 [approx]

n tahajjud starts @ 1:00 AM Mecca time :)

so abt 5 hrs later :)
maybe Br jzcasejz is rite, it may start at abt 5:00 or 5:30 ur time :)
