I've been there several times and stayed in several places, the Al Sham was not as expensive as some of the others and it was still quite nice. Try octopustravel.com. Put in your dates and it will list some hotels for you by price, the least expensive will be first but heres a tip. Go to the last few pages past the most expensive hotels and you will find that some hotels offer discounted rates "upon request", which basically just means they need a bit longer to make sure they will have the room available, then usually within 24hrs they will notify you by email to confirm. I ended up getting pretty good deals that way. Good luck and hope this helps. Feel free to msg me if I can be of further assistance.

There's a cheaper way sis. Join an online hospitality club and you might find someone who will offer you accomodation for free and show you around Dubai as well. The only thing is it might be a bit too late and you can't live with ghair mahrams. But for next time inshaAllah.. :)
