The state of the muslim ummah today

the pages in the book stick together
to form one book
spreading its knowledge
sharing it throughtout the pages
the ink on the pages bllod red
yet dried are the words
the pages fall away
knowledge lost in space and time
blown away by the wind
causing confusion and diversion
amongst hose that are yet to learn

here we are, at a time
when only a few pages of the book remain
denying each other
not wanting to be together
walking paths leading to darkness

here i am, hoping that one day the paths will become one
one path leading to the one source of light
the light all of us hope to reach someday
but will it remain a fantasy?
or will my dreams come true?

a dry heart
a dry mouth
a tongue void of words
a brain deprived of life
unable to think
unable o move
aware of the surrounding
yet unaware
the speeches, the words
they make no sense
yet here i stand, listening
trying to underdstand

my heart cries out
the presence of sweet knowledge
to quench my thirst
to loose the unwanted pesence of ignorance
to feel the syrupy taste of wisdom
to speak it

the cries and the pain of my feet
walking a path of rocks and boulders
will not be heard
above the cry of my heart
in search of the little light
in this vast darkness

walking doen the path
the gale hits me like a rock
they shoot at me; bullets
of twigs and leaves
they bombard me with the drops of rain
like a blade, it cuts through my skin and bone.

and yet i keep walking
walking a path facing many unwanted fears
yet the light of patience shines within my heart
bright and guiding.

i glimpsethe first rays of dawn
run toways it
hoping to reach it before dusk
i will reach it
an i will be there...

I think you should say 'hoping to reach it before the sun wakes' or something similar.

Because repeating the same thing twice in a poem, especially when that's not the main theme of the poem kinda make's it seem dull, because the reader think's the author isn't that good at description (and that's why they repeating the same word twice.)


Hope you understand insha'Allaah, and good stuff masha'Allaah - keep it up.

i am hanging onto a rope
off a cliff
i look below...it is dark
i get closer to the top as time passes by
a few has already reached there
but their faces are long forgotten
they are believed to have vanished
the word they use is death...

what is death? i ask
a passer by answers,
"you will know when you reach the top dear child"
the rope that i hold onto is mine
there are many other ones
a few grayed and worn out
a few strong and new.

the rope elevates to the passage of time
will i be able to hold on?
or will i fall...
into darkness?

ok dis is anoda 1 altho ders no titl agen :-\

looking back into my life,
i remember them days.
the days when life had no meaning
no purpose.
i knew only a world of celebritites,
a world of music and TV.
partying till midnight,
coming home late,
no reflection
no realisation
only the worst things of life
a veil of ignorace blocking my way
i tried tolift it
2 inches at a time
but it fell back down.
curiosity was still there
the passion to know the other side of the veil
yet it remained there
touched, yet untouched
lifted, yet there it was

then finally a day came
my life somersaulted
it landed upside down
the veil peeled away
revealing a garden of roses
memories flood back
an unclear vision
i know this place
yet i do not know.
i took a huge step and enterd...

it was like a long needed breath
a wind blew across
clearing me of the dirt and the grime of the darkness.
the rain sweet rain poured kissing me gently
i was shrouded by peace
i was standing with happiness
i knew that beyond this garden of roses
lies my ultimate destination.

i tread acriss the path
and i still am...
...with jannah as my goal

Mash'Allah sis all the poems were good but i gotta say the second one you posted was my fave...
Only thing I would suggest is just check your spelling before posting the poem, there odd words spelt wrong or 2 words together and although the reader can make out what you was tryna say it can disrupt the readers flow, part from that little thing very good sis Mash'Allah, hope to see more!
