Its funny how because of media people turn their attention to an ant whilst ignoring the elephant walking by...

These terrorists kill more than 400,000 Americans, that’s 1 in 5 of all deaths! And they do similiar damages around the world. Yet this terrorists are allowed to operate because it helps the economy...:cry:

With all due respect, why are you calling this terrorism?Surely you understand that terrorism is political in nature and strives to cause terror.

Tobacco companies are neither political nor striking terror.

No offence intended, but i don't think that's a good enough definition. That can be a form of it, but not necessarily the whole concept. :) That's how i feel anyway.

In one word... Revenue!

This country makes more money on it's "sin taxes" than it would if it banned the products. If they decided to actually take alcohol, smokes and gambling off the legal markets, like they did in the days of the prohibition, other people would make fortunes and the government wouldn't get it's slice of the action... property taxes and corporate taxes would have to increase to make up the difference.
