hi friendz i was just pondering whether it was binding in Islam to don a veil or whether its just a narrow minded interpretation by some holy islamic fiqah guru?won't wearing a scarf suffice?what does the phrase"LA IKRAHU FID DIN"MEAN?are we seeing the NAJDI ISLAM engulfing the sane and moderate Islam?imsad

There are NO versions of Islam. We follow Islam as it was revealed by Allah in the Qur'an, explained by the Prophet Muhammad pbuh, and as it was understood by the companions. This is what Islam is.

Yes, the hijab is obligatory as demonstrated in the Qur'an and Sunnah. See verses 24:31 and 33:59.
