Hello, I am wondering if there are people alive today who can trace their bloodlines back to the Prophet Mohamed? I read that he had children with Khadija, so I'm wondering if the lineage has continued through today. If so, who are they and are they treated specially (I mean like royalty or something like that)?
I hope this is not a disrespectful question, I was just curious.
Thank you.
Christina

Hey chris.
There was actually a thread about that here somewhere...
Basically only Fatima (ra) (the prophets daughter) went on to have kids, and her kids had kids etc... there are some people how can trace themselves back to the prophet...
I dont know much about it, I'll look up the thread for you, but 1 thing for usre is that NO ONE can claim special treatment just because they are related to Muhammad pbuh

That is the first time I heard the word too, and it is intersting their is a lot of people who claim syed and I am still waiting to meet one.
It's a pity people use it to forbid something that is not forbidden by Allah(s.w.t) and other thing.

Two of the Prophet's (peace be upon him) daughters (at different times) were given in marriage to Uthman (RA).
