My friend has this awesome book for learning arabic, written by the teacher at madinah university! Can't seem to buy it from where I live though. :mmokay: But theres an online version of most of the first part of the book here:

You can also try this website, I think it is more complete, it doesnt work on my computer though. :(

Can some one please explain why all the nouns on this page end with a dammah? I'm sure that isnt how people say them in real life... :?

when u connect it 2another word u say it with teh double dhammah, but when its the last word in sentence its common to be ommited.

Unless youre writing a poem.. in which case they're critical 2 the rhythm

As salaamu Alaykum,

..Yeah ... and also if a noun is the starter of a sentence (Mub'tada) it's rule is to always end with a dhamma. :)

I have the books at home.. Am at dars 8, but oi it's just getting harder and harder.. :(

Is there any sites where they have really easy arabic, like on a child level, so you can practice.. *Edit: Not a site where they explain, but an arabic site, where it is for kids, so it's not arabic on a high level* 'Cause my hubby doesn't speak arabic, well he can, but when we talk, we talk in danish, so it's kinda hard to memorize and really learn the stuff, because you don't use it.. Ya know!? :)

Yeah, but you have to could read arabic with the fathas and dhammas and etc. But I mean, if you don't use what you learn in the book, then it'll be really hard to learn it proberly, you know what I mean?

Like, you have a text like this one I uploaded, just on an easier level.. So you can practice to read.. I'm sorry if I'm not that good at explaining myself.. :)
