ThE LiOn, SnAkE, RaTs AnD HoNeY.....
Once a man saw in his dream, that a lion was chasing him. The man ran to a tree, climbed on to it and sat on a branch. He looked down and saw that the lion was still there waiting for him. The man then looked to his side where the branch he was sitting on was attached to the tree and saw that two rats were circling around and eating the branch.

One rat was black and the other one was white. The branch would fall on the ground very soon. The man then looked below again with fear and discovered that a big black snake had come and settled directly under him. The snake opened its mouth right under the man so that he will fall into it. The man then looked up to see if there was anything that he could hold on to. He saw another branch with a honeycomb. Drops of honey were falling from it.

The man wanted to taste one of the drops. So, he put his tongue out and tasted one of the fallen drops of honey. The honey was amazing in taste. So, he wanted to taste another drop.! As he did, he got lost into the sweetness of the honey.

Meanwhile, he forgot about the two rats eating his branch away, the lion on the ground and the snake that is sitting right under him. After a while, he woke up from his sleep.

To get the meaning behind this dream, the man went to a pious scholar of Islam. The scholar said
?The lion you saw is your death. It always chases you and goes wherever you go. The two rats, one black and one white, are the night and the day. Black one is the night and white one is the day. They circle around, coming one after another, to eat your time as they take you closer to death. The big black snake with a dark mouth is your grave. It?s there, just waiting for you to fall into it. The honeycomb is this world and the sweet honey is the luxuries of this world.

We like to taste a drop of the luxuries of this world but its very sweet. Then we taste another drop and yet another. Meanwhile, we get lost into it and we forget about our time, we forget about our deaths and we forget about our graves.?

Great story. I think you could switch it to just about any other religion and it would still make it's point just as well... always a sign there's a really important message there.

Once a man dreamt that he was being chased by a lion, he ran everywhere but couldn't escape it. Finally he found a tree and he climbed up it. He sat on a branch and he looked down, the lion was still there.

He looked at the branch that he was sat on, and he saw two rats, one black and the other white, they were circling the branch and everytime they came to it they would take a bite out of it, and slowly but surely the branch would eventually break.

He looked down, and only to add to his distress a snake approached right underneath him and opened it's mouth, waiting for him to fall in.

At this point the man was overwhelmed with anxiety, then he looked at the branch above him and saw a honeycomb, with the sweetest, most clear honey, so he decided to taste it. The taste was so good he had to take another and then another.

At this point the man had completely forgotten about his troubles, and just as he went to taste one more time, the branch broke and he woke up.

The man felt distressed, so he went to a righteous man seeking the interpretation of the dream.

He said, "The lion was death, and no matter where you run, it will always be close by. The branch that you sat on was your life and the two rats were day and night, the black rat being night and the white rat being day, and as day and night circle your life they take a bite out of it. The snake represented your grave, waiting for you to fall inside it and finally the honey was dunya. And the sweet decpetion of it made you forget about the reality awaiting you."

Brothers and sisters, there's a lesson to be learned. Does the sweetness of dunya make us forget about what awaites us? We're here for a reason and if we don't fulfil that reason then surely we will be losers on the day of judgement, because death is always chasing us, night and day is always eating away our life, and our grave is waiting with a warm welcome or a harsh punishment, it's up to you, which you prefer.
May Allah wake us up from our sleep, because alot of us are dreaming!

"Every soul shall taste death." [Al-'Imran 3:185].

Asalamu Alaikum.

Salam,

How true that we forget about our real purpose in life.

If we forum members were together we would have pulled eachother for prayers and help eachtoher develop patience. We are Alhamdulillah doing it to some extent.

I sure need some strict muslim friends.

Wassalam.

Once, a man saw in his dream, that a lion was chasing him. The man ran to a tree, climbed on to it and sat on a branch. He looked down and saw that the lion was still there waiting for him.

The man then looked to his side where the branch he was sitting on was attached

The branch would fall on the ground very soon. The man then looked below again with fear and discovered that a big black snake had come and settled directly under him.
The snake opened its mouth right under the man so that he will fall into it.

The man then looked up to see if there was anything that
he could hold on to. He saw another branch with a honeycomb. Drops of honey were falling from it. The man wanted to taste the honey. He had one drop. The honey was very sweet in taste. So, he wanted to taste another drop, then another and then another. As a result, he got lost into the sweetness of the honey.

Meanwhile, he forgot about the two rats eating his branch away, the lion on the ground
and the snake that is sitting right under him. After a while, he

woke up from his sleep.

To get the meaning behind this dream, the man went to a pious scholar of Islam.
