:sl: brothers and sisters.

I'm not sure that this goes into the right thread, but here goes.
At our sisters halaqa that we hold weekly in the area i live in, the sisters sometimes take it in turn to give the daras (lesson).
So, one of the sisters decide that in the near future she will give the daras, inshallah. She has chosen to do about ghusl/wodoo one week, and another week do about salat (prayer). she has written up a list of what she is thinking of saying, as well as a list off sourcs. All She wants, is your opinions, that is anything to add and/or take away from these lists.

Ghusl:
  • Arkaan (pillars)
  • When to do it. (so, because it is a sisters halaqa, mentioning about the ghusl of menses, and janaaba only)
  • invalidatos
  • Recommended acts during ghusl
  • Mention whether or not these body parts have to be done in a specific order, for the wodoo to be valid.

Wodoo':
  • Virtues
  • Arkaan (pillars) of the wodoo, including the areas that must be done. eg, from X body part to y body part.
  • Mention whether or not these body parts have to be done in a specific order, for the wodoo to be valid.
  • Mention whether or not your wodoo is valid if you wash the parts that are meant to be wipied, and vise versa. for example is ones wodoo valid if they wipe (as opposed to wash) there feet.
  • Recommended acts during wodoo
  • Invalidators of wodoo
  • What to do when in doubt
  • What to do if you have a continuous problem, which would normally invalidate your wodoo: eg continuous urine, etc.

Prayer:
  • The commandment for prayer
  • It virtues
  • Its Arkaan (pillars):
  • Meaning/definiton of Arkaan, and how is this meaning/defintion related to the prayer
  • Is ones prayer valid if they knowingly/unintentionally leave out 1 or more arkaan of the prayer
  • What to do if you find out that you didn't fulfill one of the arkaan, but you still have time to pray.
  • Is anyone exempted from not doing one or more of the arkaan. if so, who, what rukn, when are they exempted, and how do they perform the prayer without it? for example someone who is unable to pray, how do they pray sitting up, if they cannot stand, etc.
  • invaliators
  • The womans awrah (what she has to cover of her body in order for her prayer to be valid. eg can her prayer clothes be see through, etc)
  • The delaying of the prayer. How long is one allowed to delay it? what if one leaves it to the last minute?
  • What to do if you forgot a prayer or slept through it and you don't (and do) have time to pray it
  • The warning of the abandonment of salaat.

Please note, brothers and sisters, that the sister initially decided to talk about the arkaan of the prayer, and the warning of the abandonment of the salat. The other stuff is just extra. Her questions are: Are the points raised, over done for a talk which is meant to focus of the abandonment of the prayer??

List of sources to reaserch so far:
  • Fiqh-us sunnah (supergatory prayers)
  • Islam-qa.com
  • Sheikh Al Al-baanbi's book about the prayer
described

anyways, let her know what you think

jazakallahu khair.
