I have this horrendous pain on the left side of my back and leg. I walk around the house like an old man holding my back alot of the time, the pain had started a week ago when i slept on the floor ( i had reletives sleeping around) and i would like to know had anyone ever suffered this pain and how long will it take to for the pain to stop cause im mad about football but the pain is holding me back whic is furstrating and when i do play football i cant kick a ball with my left foot or run but only jog ( really slowly ) whic is very annoying.( theres no point saying go to your local GP cause it open on wednesday and its the christmas holdiay).

Could be from a slipped disc (in the spine). I knew a few people who suffered so. My dad, my brother and a friend.

Dude, I am just saying. If the pain persists for a very long time (3 months if you can stand it) better have it checked by a specialist. If it left untreated it could lead to paralysis.

Right now, you can get someone to massage places for you. Be positive, but do not leave out possibilities. Also, pray a lot that it is just simple muscle ache.

Assalmualikum,
aww Akhi i fell for ya, i know how it is myself is dying to play soccer but can't because am ill && stuff but you know take it easy, just take pain kilers, put hot water bottle on that leg, get it massage, don't worry okay inshallah, don't jog because you might pull a muscle just walk in a room so your muscles can be apart && they don't get layed back, so best thing to do is when you go asleep lay down on a "bed" this time no on floor :omg: && also get a hot water bottle keep it on leg for abit, if still in pain then get a soft very soft cousion && put your leg on that whilst sleeping i tend to do that often when my legs hurt, (as my legs are weak anyway :(). Also you can get it massage or if not then keep it warm, at times it does happen when youv'e like got warm && cold mixed together.
just take care of ya self don't stress && trust me your going to be fine running on thy pitch like a dude so chillax, soccer in our heart :thumbs_up
Ma'assalama
p.s if not go emergency tis opened

Sounds very much like a pinched sciatic nerve. Can be very painful and can feel like suddenly being burned in a spot on your leg in addition to the constant pain.

As was said by another posted, it it persists it needs medical attention.

you put pressure on the wrong places when you sleep one of them it seems is your lower back

do sit ups every day so you develop strong abs and at the same time you will also develop a stronger lower back

I agree with Br. Woodrow.. sounds like a trapped nerve.. very painful!

Do not do any strengthening exercises at this stage. But do not take complete rest either. You need to keep moving or muscles will stiffen from resting.

Sleep in the most comfortable position. There is no evidence that hard mattresses are best for your back.

For pain take painkiller (paracetamol)
For an anti-inflammatory take Ibuprofen
If muscles are extremely tense take Diazepam. (A muscles relaxant).

Finally try lying on your back and bringing your knees to your chest. Do this gently and repeatedly as and when you can. Hopefully the trapped nerve will get released. If pains worsens, STOP!

Finally, if problem doesn't seem to be getting better, see a doctor.

May Allah grant you a quick recoery inshaAllah. Ameen.
