A friend of mine want to see a doctor there, and he would move there temporarily with family.

Anyone living there? What is the monthly rent of decent #2 bedroom apartment? How much are the monthly living expenditures? Halal food is available there? People are friendly with muslims?

I personaly would not recommend Vail. It is a Tourist town and everything is based on tourist trade and very over priced.

However there are very nice cities nearby with reasonable prices.

I do not know about employment in the area, but the future looks bright. They have OK'd the state for oil production and the amount of oil reserves in Coloraoda are about 3 times the remaining reserves in Saudi Arabia. So the State should experience an economic boom in the next few years.

Colorado has a large Muslim population. So there should be no problem with Halal food.

Shazia said Islam is one of the fastest-growing religions in Colorado, attracting members from all different ethnicities. More than 15,000 Muslims live in metro Denver and as many as 2,000 Muslims attend Friday night services at Masjid-Abu Bakr.
This link, from a non-Islamic paper, will give a bit of information about Muslims in Colorado.

Well, my friend has no choice. The knee doctor in Vail appears the only one experienced with the problem in the knee of my friend.
